We know she was a sikh girl he met at uni, the state of the panth is so messed up man!.

July 7 terrorist Shehzad Tanweer had a secret girlfriend as he prepared to wage holy war, it emerged yesterday.

He met a woman in the weeks leading up to the suicide attack, in which the 22-year-old blew himself up on a London Tube train, killing seven passengers.

But he kept the relationship quiet – and the woman insists she had no idea what he was planning.

She has now told police about her conversations and meetings with Tanweer in the days before his attack on a Circle Line train near Aldgate station.

She says even her own family do not know she had a relationship with Tanweer, and the authorities have granted her anonymity amid fears of reprisals from relatives or extremists if she is unmasked.

The pair began a relationship in June 2005, shortly after Tanweer returned to his home in Leeds from a terror training camp in Pakistan.

Her existence came to light at the inquest into the deaths of the 52 victims, where she will be known only as ‘A’ when she gives evidence.

Coroner Lady Justice Hallett said: ‘She can assist these proceedings with information about Tanweer having gone to Pakistan some time before the bombing, that he seems to have returned from Pakistan, if what he told her was true, not long before she met him in June 2005, and she can also describe meetings or conversations with him in the days leading up to the actual bombings.’

But she accepted a bid for ‘A’ to remain anonymous, saying: ‘The revelation of her identity could have devastating impact upon her life, her privacy and possibly upon her health.’

The woman, who is expected to give evidence to the inquest next month, had co-operated with police ‘in confidence’, and the coroner said she would not want others to be discouraged from doing the same.

Tanweer’s father, Mohammed Mumtaz Tanweer, shook his head and said ‘no comment’ when asked about his son’s secret girlfriend.

Mr Tanweer senior emigrated from Pakistan and ran a chip shop in Leeds at which his son occasionally worked in the weeks before the attack. Tanweer is buried in his family’s village in Pakistan, where celebrations have been held to ‘remember him as a martyr’.

Of the four July 7 bombers, 30-year-old ringleader Mohammed Sidique Khan and 19-year-old Jermaine Lindsay were married. Hasib Hussain, 18, was single.

That's horrible...when will these terrorists stop and just be peaceful?

One of the 7/7 bombers terrorists sisters converted to Sikhi

http://www.sikhsanga...-chose-sikhism/

Alia Kaur

http://www.sikhsanga...-sister-a-sikh/

I looked at the article, it said her sister ran off with a Sikh?...

Does that really mean she adopted the Sikh lifestyle? Aren't those two things contradictory in of itself. To count that would be hypocritical or contradictory.

Unless i am mistaken of what really happened.

At any rate, please correct me wherever i'm wrong.

I had an apna friend who was a solicitor who told me that when he had to defend some Pakistani crooks very often, the guys Sikh girlfriends would come to court to give a character reference. He was like: "I don't even have to guess anymore, as soon as one steps up, I just know it's an apnee now".

I bet you if an apna had approached this girl (in the OP) when she was dating this sullah, and told her to keep away and that he's no good and just using her. She would have told him to $%@* off and say he doesn't know what he is talking about. And how Shehzad is different and 'not like that'.

UK apneean haven't got a good reputation, and it's been this way for a while, lets not mince words or live in denial.

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
    • There was a young Singh from abroad who went to Anandpur Sahib Hola and got into a fight with some Punjabis who were playing loud non-religious music. He had bana and a weapon or two. There were more of them than him.  He ended up losing his life. Don't be like that. Not worth it to fight manmukhs. @californiasardar1 ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ॥੧੯॥ Argue not with a fool. p473
