I havnt been married long and since I have been married I've noticed that my sikhi has slowly been going down.

I find married life really difficult and the worse thing is is that I think my faith in maharaaj is fading.

I don't do my nitnem at all.

Im at a all time low, I feel like I need to freshen my soul again. Is there a Jaap I can do or something because I really don't wnat to loose my sikhi.

Plz help?

You don't have to answer this, but what do you find difficult about married life that stops you doing paat?

Settling into married life is difficult, a new family, a new routine, a new way of living, a new time schedule.

There is no shame in admitting that your finding your new life difficult, you've admitted it, thats the first step, now try and do somthing about it.

Ok, so your now not doing any Paath.

Lets make this simple, get back on track by doing Simran. Set aside 10 minutes to sit down and do Naam Simran today, if you can do longer great!

When in you car on your way to walk do Naam Simran, when cooking in the kitchen, play a CD with your favourite Naam Simran. When at work, plug your earphones in and listen to Naam Simran.

Take one small step, and the rest will fall back to the way it used to be. You'll soon be back to doing your Paath, you should also suggest doing your Nitnem together with your Husband. After all a family who prays together stays together.

If you need to talk with regards to married life - please do PM me, i understand how nerve wracking it is initially, but it will get easier.

I don't pray anymore because I try to make a concious effort to APPLY the teachings. There is absoluetly no point whatsoever in reading gurbani over and over and not doing what it says. What it SAYS to do on every single page is BHAGTI(naam simran and bandgi-good deeds.). That is why we're here-

The naam simran shuts the mind up eventually and when that happens we become (merge back into) Him as the ego(same as the mind, the 'I'ness) is eradicated. It's the only thing that will ferry us across in this dark age, chant his name which is Truth(sat) with love and faith and you shall find him and become your true self(Him).

Do it at amrit vela and then eventually all the time, internally in the heart is the best way.

Mahapurakhs like Baba Kartar Singh Jee had been noted saying that reading bani and doing naam simran are one and the same :)

You're right bhagti can be done in many different ways, doing good deeds and helping others is also bhagti. If gurbani is being done is praise of god that is great. But naam goes a very long way, esp if done at amrit vela as instructed in Gurbani- that is great gyan.

Naam Simran and Gurbani are a million times more powerful than doing good deeds and helping others. Anyone who says otherwise has not fully submitted themselves to the Guru.
