This video completely clarifies that meat and sharab cannot be served in the Gurdwara or any Gurdara owned/affiliated building. If Ramgharia Gurdwara Graham Street are trying to go back on their own words and are thinking to allow parties (with or without meat/sharab) then they need to realise that this is just unacceptable and against Gurmat and the vidoe clarifies this!

This also applies to Dudley Gurdwara and all the Gurdwarae too!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Dear Khalsa

You are the the Panth of the Pure ,the Cream of the Crop.

I'm just an ordinary member of Dudley Gurdwara's sangat ,I have made some donations to their projects ,

I hold it dear in my heart and should like to defend it's good name .

If the committee need to rent out the Community Centre, which is on the other side of the road ,and then put those much needed funds to good use in the Gurdawara ,is that not a means to an ends.

A Gurdwara is a separate entity to the buildings next to it or adjacent to it, just relating buildings because the title used to be in the same name. My grandfather a retired Soldier helped in the early days of the Gurdwara back in the seventies, How do you represent our Gurdwara ,if you never make a donation or do seva here ,but only interfere with our enterprises.

Have you ever built a Gurdwara from scratch ,through hard work and donations and then tried to keep it running.

You are not accountable for the running of the Gurdwara's community enterprises so why disrupt there endeavours. They must account to the Dudley sangat thats all.

Your campaign seems to be to coerce the committee into allowing only the same practices in separate buildings, as allowed in the Gurdwara ,so where does it end ,do we take our shoes off in Community Centres next. This is a Good Gurdwara ,they would never allow beadbi ,I trust the committee ,they are very good Sikhs .

What is this petty protest, Our Guru is not being disrespected, but his Dudley Sikhs are by you . Battle those being raped or killed in the world, that would be worthy of your mighty heritage. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Mr Medare, Can you please explain how "very good Sikhs" can allow the Sangat's money be used for promoting meat and alcohol? Where/how does Sikhi allow this?

Why can't you accept that this practice has been outlawed by the highest authority for Sikhs?

Dear Self Proclaiming Warrior

The highest authority for Sikhs is God, and they are not promoting it , they are just allowing it ,as its not a sin to drink in a community centre, it's a separate place.

Regards

Dear Singh brother

I commend your respect of the Akaal ,I just believe subsidiarity is a better organising principle

(In other words let those who donate/contribute ,are on the ground as it were sort these issues out like they do with the day to day operating

No respect is being done to the Guru ,you have to draw a separate line between community Halls and Gurdwa,

Thanks for your comments, perhaps we can agree to disagree

Dear brother

I love it in the same way you do,If I thought it was being disrespected I would be with you,let me qualify I have no allegiance to the committee, and now live 120 miles away, but because my childhood was spent there and I admire the instituition I did not like people interfering and especially if not contributing.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
