The above shabad needs to be read in its context. Bhagat Kabir Ji was of low caste and the brahmins used to treat them with great disdain even to the point that if the shadow of a low caste went over the food of a brahmin then it was considered unfit to eat. This shabad is aimed at those people basically saying that you treat me as so impure but there is impurity all around you.

Those who eat meat say that those who do not are brahmanwaad.

Those who do not get up at amritwela say that amritwela is all the time whenever you do paath is amritwela.

Those who eat others jhoot say that not eating jhoot is brahmanwaad.

This body is a temple it needs to be kept clean, inside and out. If a vessel is dirty and you add milk to it then whats happens to the milk? In the same way if your vessel is dirty then how can the soul inside elevate its sprituality? The more you walk this paath of the Guru the more you realise that it is no walk in the park, you have to restrict your self in all manner of things. Akaal Purkh is PAVITAR, then how can we get close to Him if we are so dirty, inside and out?

If someone smokes, eats meat, drinks alcohol would you eat his jhoot ?

So true. Never though about it that way.

If we lack simran and bani, one could argue

it doesn't make a difference if we have joot because we are no different to others.

It's like keeping sarbloh bibek but if were not

maintaining our AmritVela and bani what's the point.

Personally I still wouldn't have joot because I feel as i try to improve my rehit,

having joot would slow me down. It would have more of a negative impact on

me and pull me down more. Also slowly slowly it would make me think

differently about other things. Eventually I would probably accept

other things we shouldn't do.

This path truly is hard if we let our selves down on simran and Gurbani.

So easy to be led astray from Sikhi.

The real joot you guys need to stay clear from is forgetting the lords name.

Rehit and Naam go hand in hand, you cannot have one without the other. If you keep rehit but you do no simran then you are obviously lacking, but in the same vein if you do simran but have no rehit then equally you are lacking. Guru Ji has said Himself that He perfers rehit before his Sikh.

You mention rehit, although the Guru's Rehit Maryada does not mention Joot specifically it does refer to the following chastisement of Amritdharis:

q. The following individuals shall be liable to chastisement involving automatic boycott:

2. One who eats/drinks Left-overs of the unbaptised or the fallen Sikhs;

http://sgpc.net/rehat_maryada/section_six.html

I didn't find anything about giving, preparing or cooking food for Amritdharis by non-Amritdharis, only about the eating or drinking of leftovers.
