NEWSFLASH: WRESTLING IS FAKE AND COREOGRAPHED! basically he is an overgrown actor...and i bet a million bucks that a real khalsa singh would make this guy cry for his naani in a real fight.

Whilst I dont doubt professional wrestling is fake I do doubt very much that a real Khalsa Singh would make this guy cry for his nani. no.gif

I have seen how hard wrestlers train. I have seen so called hardmen cry when it comes to training with wrestlers as their trianing regimes are so strict. Although this guy is a pro wrestler like most other apne he has probably wrestled at an amateur level. I doubt very much that a proper Khalsa Singh could outdo him on the wrestling mat. Of course it would be different story if it ws Gatka. wacko.gif

If anyone doubts the fitness levels, dedication etc required for wrestling I urge them to try it for a few weeks. All that karate, kung fu, shin kin ty

pe training is nothing when compared to the training of wrestlers. :TH:

Pure Khalsa Singh doesn't have to do anything.. By his jarkara, this fake khalsa would piss in his pant

It will take a bit of a job to find such a Khalsa Sigh in todays day and age. Most the so called Khalsa Singh I have seen are grossly overweight . uh .... there I go again stereotyping.

Seriously I sometimes wonder why the Sikhs have become so different in physique from the Singh from the misal period who were mostly tall and had very good physiques (descriptions of great leaders like Jassa Singh Ahluwalia). Some of our Guru promoted exercise, Guru Angad Dev Ji is said to have been a very good wrestler who encouraged people to keep fit.

lol seriously, STOP SINGH, shhh.gif

Those you refer to as Khalsa Singhs being overweight, are not the true soldiers of Guru Gobind Singh ji, anyone can take amrit from the panj, and put on a small ishnani kirpan, but do they have the rehni/behni of a Khalsa Singh, can they live up to the hukam of the panj pyaray of giving your life up for the panth?

If you come to the gatka akhara down here (Toronto), the teachers not only teach gatka, but main emphasis on the body, and endurance, hand-to-hand combat, and strength training, which I beleive, is the proper khalsa training both for the street and other situations.

Also, you say "I doubt very much that a proper Khalsa Singh could outdo him on the wrestling mat. "

In puratan war times, the only real exercise was wrestling, and gatka, back in the days, all they knew was 'kushti', which is a form of wrestling, which they perfected daily. Also, in real life situation, a proper khalsa singh is not to be seen without a shaster, people like this guy get cold feet even at the sight of a proper Singh.

Also, look at Bruce Lee he was no-where near the size of this guy, but could probably take him out in a flash.

Thought I'd add my two cents.

Why is Daljeet Singh a trained wrestler ?

I have never seen how Gatka people train so will not comment on their training, but I have seen lots of overweight Nihang Singh in India and doubt they could take one anybody in hand to hand combat with success unless they managed to sit on a person :D ) .

I have tried many martial arts but never found them physically demanding. However I tried wrestling and it was the only sport that required serious effort, stamina and dedication during training.

I urge all of you who want to keep in good physical condition to take up wrestling even if it is just to do the very hard exercises that wrestlers do. I am referring to amateur (greco roman and amateur freestyle wrestling) and not WWF, WWE etc.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
