Recently I have been having strong, STRONG thoughts of committing suicide. I even planned out a way to do it and what i'm gonna write in my suicide note. I've also thought about what my life would be like if i failed at it and how my family would react. I have done a lot of bad deeds in my life, but am trying to better myself bit by bit. Every time I wanna go back to these bad deeds I tell myself no..then these thoughts start popping into my head and don't seem to leave. Is this maya telling me to do this? and if it is...what is the best way to shut it up and get these thoughts outta my head?

If we look at people who are less Fortunate then only Can we realize how lucky we are !

Don't waste your life with these Useless thoughts.

Get dressed and volunteer for Seva or social service.

Put a Smile on some needy's face by helping him/her out, give them a reason to live.

Restore their faith in God and your problems will be taken care off.

ਨੀਚਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਨੀਚ ਜਾਤਿ ਨੀਚੀ ਹੂ ਅਤਿ ਨੀਚੁ

Those who are lowest of the low class, the very lowest of the low

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਥਿ ਵਡਿਆ ਸਿਉ ਕਿਆ ਰੀਸ ॥

Nanak seeks the company of those, why should he try to compete with the great ?

ਜਿਥੈ ਨੀਚ ਸਮਾਲੀਅਨਿ ਤਿਥੈ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਖਸੀਸ ॥੪॥੩॥

In that place where the lowly are cared for-there, the Blessings of Your Glance of Grace rain down. ||4||3||(SGGS jeeo - Ang 15)

Don't wait, try it !

If you think your life is bad now, after committing suicide it gets worse x a millon.

After suicide the soul spends a while or a long long time in hell. The hell after death is full of unimaginable horrors, people get put through torture like being boiled alive in boiling oil, being eaten alive by demons, being raped by demons, sawn alive into pieces etc.

Hells are the realms of the demons so your time there would indefinitely be one of suffering and an indescribable amount of pain- way worse than you could experience here.

Therefore suicide would be incredibly foolish...

Yes it is maya and satan telling you to do these things so they can take pleasure in watching you suffer in hell and fall off the path of Truth.

Now the question is, do you want to glorify them by giving in and therefore worshipping them(giving in to their wishes and seductitions is worshipping them, you become a slave to them and not to God- slavery to God/Truth is the only freedom and pleasure) or would you glorify God by sticking it out here and through bhagti, experiencing Sachkandh on earth?

Your feelings right now are gifts from Him, as it is when we turn away from the world mentally that we begin to turn to and experience Him- Gurbani says die whilst still alive- instead of killing your physical self, which will only make you extremely more tormented than you are now, why not kill the mental self, kill your mind through naam simran and bhagti.

Go into samadhi through naam simran(google it), into the Silence/Nothingness/Him/Truth while accepting All as Him. Keep up your simran/bhagti and samadhi throughout waking life and therefore silence the mind(The mind is your identity and therefore ego, when it dies, so does the self/ego and the other 4 theives)- and experience the incomparable nasha of Truth.

He is pushing you through this game, everything he does is out of a fearless love for you- he is is not afraid that you mind swear at him and ask him why he puts you through such torment, because he knows that through your experiences, youll turn back to him and realise what you really are- which is the most beautiful, most blissful Truth of Nothingness, just like Him, na roop, na rekh, na rang. He is asking you to turn on Him and give yourself up to Him, not to turn to Satan through suicide. Give up mind body and wealth to Him and all your problems will dissolve as He/ His Truth is the Nothingness- when there is in reality Nothing/ Only Him, what is there to be upset about?

We are always in His love, regardless of what our false eyes and false images of people and places and scenarios taht he places us in and the 5 and 6 senses may delude you to believe.

I am only 14 and do have thoughts of suicide at times but never ever on a large scale.

Be around more people personally I am in a house alone for 5 hrs a day

keep your busy with good things

and obviously pray

God bless you, are an inspiration for teenagers everywhere. Google bhagti, it helped me alot when I was younger and still does. Remain thankful for all you have, there are people out there starving etc.

Remember that this is all just a game, He gave you pain in the past so that you turn to Him- his plan is always in play, nothing is a coincidence- everything that negative that happens to you is to make you turn to Him.

God is everywhere and is everything, he loves you regardless of everything and anything, when you do naam simran, you are bringing Him/ His truth alive around you.

Naam is actually him, you become a realised part of Him while in naam, you become a part of Everything because He is everything, we are all connected, You are Me and I Am You. We actually have no image or form because our true selves are already a part of Him and he has no form or image. So never feel alone we are all Him and He is us,

All you see around you is false- it's all just him but our eyes delude us into believing everything is seperate from him. Its like a big computer game we've been put into and the creator of the game is Him and the characters and places are all actually God himself.

You're welcome :)

It's just great to see a younger Truth seeker on his way.

Nope, hell and heaven exist. Whilst on earth they are states of mind- i.e if we are in pain, we're in a hell state of mind- our consciousness lowers down to a hell realm, but when in sukh, we are in a heavenly state of mind, we connect with a heaven realm. This earth realm is not hell, it is our consciousness/state of mind/psychology that makes it hell. If we begin to practice truth- naam simran, to recognise Him everywhere in All- to embrace all as one, na roop, na rekh na rang as he has no image and is all pervading- this age would become Satyug again.

When we die, we go to heaven, hell or sachkandh which is the realm of Truth- neither a heavenly state of mind or a hellish state of mind, it reflects a balanced state of mind beyond both.

Gurbani says there are 3 worlds, we're in the 3rd*maya), heaven and hell etc are the 2nd(still all maya/illusion) and Truth is the 1st(beyond illusion, which is why its called Truth/sat- its opposite to false/lie/maya).

We can discover the 1st world while still on earth- it is the Truth, beyond colour, image, form, there are no people or places there, just Truth/God. This world is actually all around us, but we are blinded by the beautiful images of illusion/false/maya. When you close your eyes, that is the 1st world, The bhagat goes deeper into it and recognises it all around and within.

Guru Ji says Naam is the cure for all illness-( Guru Ji Only speaks the Truth- so believe this 100%, He would never lie.)

Having had suicidal thoughts for years, this has personally come true for me. Attune yourself to His name, this path is about faith and embracing Nothing over everything. Many have doubts in the Guru(Gurbani) but a sikh should take its words as law 100% no matter what others say, no matter what society says.

They watch us 24/7 seeing if we pass the tests that He puts us through(whether he comes to you as your nagging screaming mother, violent brother, bitchy sister or jealous friend), if we slap away doubt and continue full speed ahead with complete 100% faith and surrender. Those who live in and accept Hukam gracefully, who recognise Him to be everywhere and everyone and who respect the Truth and attune themselves to it through naam(which is God's all pervading balanced frequency of Nothingness), excel.

    • So it's inevitable seeing as many people would land there with relative fortunes.
    • Nice topic. I’m a fan of urbanization, so I would envision a scenario where the diaspora doesn’t head back to their villages (the ones that came from pinds). I like Ludhiana because of its centrality in Punjab (even though the air and water pollution is off the charts!). More likely the diaspora would settle the outskirts of Chandigarh in the Punjab portion (towns like Mohali and New Chandigarh) because of the cleaner air and proximity to the shivalik hills. But for my scenario I am going with Ludhiana. Ludhiana city is 66% Hindu and 29% Sikh with a population of 1.9 million (2021 estimate). It would require all 2 million diaspora sikhs to be stuffed in there to raise our percentage to 65 %. If we were to take the higher estimate of a 3 million diaspora, and all settled in Ludhiana, our percentage would be 71%. All 3 million diaspora would raise Punjab’s Sikh percentage from 57% to 62%. Just shows how little our raw numbers add up back home within our own state, forget about India as a whole. Our strength lies in our prosperity outside of India. Within India 2-3 million barely registers. I mean there are 25 million babies born per year in India! But even with the minor percent rise, our economic strength would be the real game changer as @proactive pointed out. We could shift the economic power into Sikh hands within some Punjabi cities, while the rural is already in the basket.
    • These Dalits are mianly from Doaba and have been visiting Punjab for years and there has been no issues. if they want to buy land especially agricultural land than this might create issues but land prices will increase for sure and provided the Jats are getting a good price then there will be no issue.  The only country where something similar has happened is Israel when the European Jews migrated and even Jews for Arab lands were relegated to being the working class and this created to separate classes in Israel with Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews. They tended to live in their own areas for many decades although there has been more mixing and intermarriage but there is definitely a simmering issue between these two classes. Punjab's issue is slightly different because at least 50% or more of the diaspora are still linked to their villages in Punjab so they would not really create any enclaves just for them. This was not the case with the Jews because they came without any links to the land. Resentment exists where ever there is differences in wealth.
    • Get a load of this evil b1tch......   German ISIS bride who chained up five-year-old Yazidi slave girl in the sun and let her die of thirst as punishment for wetting the bed is jailed ten years for 'war crime' Jennifer Wenisch, 30, converted to Islam in 2013 and went to Iraq to join ISIS She was found guilty of allowing a slave girl to die of thirst in the scorching sun The court said Wenisch, from Lohne, had committed 'crimes against humanity'  Her husband is also on trial and will be sentenced in November   A German ISIS bride was sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Munich court today over the war crime of letting a five-year-old Yazidi 'slave' girl die of thirst in the sun.  Jennifer Wenisch, 30, from Lohne in Lower Saxony, was found guilty of 'two crimes against humanity in the form of enslavement', as well as aiding and abetting the girl's killing and being a member of a terrorist organisation. Wenisch converted to Islam in 2013 and made her way to Iraq to join the Islamic State, where she and her husband 'purchased' a Yazidi woman and child as household slaves according to the court. 'After the girl fell ill and wet her mattress, the husband of the accused chained her up outside as punishment and let the child die an agonising death of thirst in the scorching heat,' prosecutors said during the trial. 'The accused allowed her husband to do so and did nothing to save the girl.'  Her sentence, handed out by the Higher Regional Court in Munich, is the culmination of what is thought to be one of the first convictions anywhere in the world related to the Islamic State group's persecution of the Yazidi community.  Presiding judge Reinhold Baier handed down the verdict to Wenisch this morning, after declaring the child was 'defenceless and helplessly exposed to the situation,' and that Wenisch 'had to reckon from the beginning that the child, who was tied up in the heat of the sun, was in danger of dying'. Wenisch's husband, Taha al-Jumailly, is also facing trial in separate proceedings in Frankfurt, where the verdict is due in late November. When asked during the trial about her failure to save the girl, Wenisch said she was 'afraid' that her husband would 'push her or lock her up'.  Identified only by her first name Nora, the Yazidi girl's mother has repeatedly testified in both Munich and Frankfurt about the torment allegedly visited on her child. The defence had claimed the mother's testimony is untrustworthy and said there was no proof that the girl, who was taken to hospital after the incident, actually died. Wenisch's lawyers had called for her to receive just a two-year suspended sentence for supporting a terrorist organisation. Wenisch herself claimed she was being 'made an example of for everything that has happened under ISIS' at the close of the trial, according to the daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung, and appeared to show remorse for the crimes for which she was found guilty.  Wenisch converted to Islam in 2013 and is thought to have left Germany to join ISIS the following year, travelling through Turkey and Syria to reach her eventual destination of Mosul in Iraq.  Recruited in mid-2015 to the group's self-styled hisbah morality police, she patrolled city parks in IS-occupied Fallujah and Mosul. Armed with an AK-47 assault rifle, a pistol and an explosives vest, her task was to ensure strict IS rules on dress code, public behaviour and bans on alcohol and tobacco. In January 2016, she visited the German embassy in Ankara to apply for new identity papers. When she left the mission, she was arrested and extradited days later to Germany. Wenisch's trial, which began in April 2019, is one of the first examples of court proceedings over the Islamic State group's brutal treatment of Yazidis.  A Kurdish-speaking group hailing from northern Iraq, the Yazidis were specifically targeted and oppressed by the jihadists beginning in 2015. Prominent London-based human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, who has been involved in a campaign for IS crimes against the Yazidi to be recognised as a 'genocide', was part of the team representing the Yazidi girl's mother. Germany has charged several German and foreign nationals with war crimes and crimes against humanity carried out abroad, using the legal principle of universal jurisdiction which allows crimes to be prosecuted even if they were committed in a foreign country. A handful of female suspects are among those who have appeared in the dock. In November 2020, a German woman named as Nurten J. was charged with crimes against humanity allegedly committed while she was living in Syria as a member of Islamic State. In October 2020, another German court sentenced the German-Tunisian wife of a rapper-turned-jihadist to three-and-a-half years in prison for having taken part in the enslavement of a Yazidi girl in Syria. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10127821/German-ISIS-bride-let-five-year-old-slave-girl-die-thirst-Iraq-jailed-ten-years.html
