That is their choice. We should not try to impose this on them. They also deserve to make a profit from this adventure, because that will encourage more singers and movie makers to take up such projects in future. But there is nothing stopping us as individuals from giving to the Shaheed Parivaars.

veerji, what made you think that they will end up having profit? I don't think they will have enough funds to cover their cost, so hanji.. my guess is that they will be red unless mass release in punjab. Remember movie profit only comes from first few weekends of release and right now estimated sale figure is hovering around 1 crore which is in 250K $. This is not animated movie where you can hire few developers and artists. This is high budget project and to get there, team probably had to literally find and beg funds from various producers.

Plus our kaum is not based on communist ideals where wealth must be distributed. Its the free will of our people however they our people should give 10% as told by bajaaan wala guru, sri guru gobind singh ji.

It is solely duty of SGPC and delhi gurdwara people to cough up monies. I met very senior sgpc officials including jathedar of sri akal takht sahib on my last trip to india and what i figured out is very dangerous culture changing process there. I am not going to say anything but there is no possible way to clean some or all sikh insititutions of punjab, specially the one loaded with cash.

Anyway, even if movie makes some profit, i want them to keep it as they deserve it. With shaheedi of bhai goldi, i think it comes our duty to give them financial and other support to continue social and media project.
