Hey Bro,

I can understand that you must feel self concious at times, if not embarassed. I used to suffer from excessive underarm sweating, particualrly when I was going through puberty and it used to bother me. You may be suffering from hyperhidrosis, or you may just sweat a little and then when you feel it, you begin to panic or worry, causing you to sweat more. It's nothing to do with personal hygiene or lack of it, nor can it be solved through "scrubbing".

I suggest you make a visit to Boots and purchase "Driclor". It's about £6.50 and you apply it last thing at night to your underarms before you sleep and then wash it off whilst you shower the next day. You have to continue applying underarm everyday, but you'll soon see major improvements - i did after the first application. Continue to apply it everynight, until your sweating stops and you can then just use normal underarm.

Hope that helps and let me know how you get on.

All the best,

Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh

Thankyou for your responses!

@Singh559 Yup, I actually have heard non-sikhs making jokes about this..... but this is actually a serious problem for me :/ I won't be posting a photo lol, there is a reason I posted in the gupt section ahahah.

I make sure I bathe daily, and I use all sorts of soaps, deodorants, antiperspirants, etc. I drink lots of water everyday, I'm cutting down on my sugar intake and I try to work out often to sweat it all out and clear my sweat glands, but nothing seems to work.

Deodorants don't help because BO + deodorant does not equal a good smell...

I suspect that I might have hyperhidrosis, so I have ordered a similar anitperspirant to 'driclor' called 'certain dri'. I'll be using this and i hope it will make a difference.

I'm just hoping that this is something that i'll grow out of soon.. considering i'm only 18 atm.

Thanks again everyone :D.

There are causes that are external, ie bad hygiene or bacteria on skin, and internal causes too, like a bad liver. Sometimes the body can't get rid of toxins becuase the liver is so overloaded. So it removes the toxins through other ways, like sweat. Use Dr. Schulze's Liver Cleanse and eat more fruits and veggies. Cut out the bad foods, especially cheese and other stuff that the body has trouble getting rid of.

I know it's been a really long time since this post was made, but who knows, maybe I'll be able to help someone else.

I'm a female Sikh and don't cut my hair either. I've always had a problem with body odor, ever since I was about 12 or 13. I don't remember how, but I somehow got informed about crystal deos. They tackle the bacteria, which is what causes the body odor in the first place. It doesn't have any smell or perfume, it just eliminates body odor.

Hope I could help
