Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

The statement today means the British government agreed that a military adviser provided 'advice' (conspiracy to commit acts of aggression, murder and genocide) against civilians like our holy leader, Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, women, children, the Sikh nation and our most sacred of places - Sri Harmandir Sahib.

This is an appalling travesty of justice, a gross dereliction of duty and a total failure of human rights.

All possible legal actions should be examined including using The International Criminal Court Act 2001 (c.17) which is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The Act incorporates into English law and Northern Ireland law the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

The principal aims of the Act are to incorporate into domestic law the offences contained in the Rome Statute (genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity).

The evidence to date justifies further investigation into the criminal responsibility of senior individuals within the UK military and government. The British knew or should have known that under their control they were committing or about to commit war crimes. And civilian superiors knew or consciously disregarded information at their disposal, which clearly indicated that the UK were committing or about to commit war crimes in Amritsar.

As osingh Bhaji has said, we do not need to react with anger. However, we can act within the framework of the law and take appropriate action to seek justice.

The govt on todays reports (admittance advice given) denied any advice used for Op. Blue star thereby trying to coming clean without allowing public or any other form of independent enquiry for which UK Sikh groups asked for along the disclosure of all documents which was also denied.

Why would UK Govt destroy classified documents in November 2009 on the orders of Indian Govt taking into consideration that trade was being at 'risk'.

edit No detail in the report of what happened before or after Feb 1984

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Waljinder Bhaji, We fully understand the British are distancing themselves from Operation Blue Star. However, the fact remains that they sent a military adviser to provide advice or conspiracy (conspiracy with intent to commit acts of aggression, murder and genocide is as bad as the crime itself regardless of whether the British thought the advice was used or not) against Sikh civilians.

This should justify further investigation into the criminal responsibility of senior individuals within the UK military and government.

Why did William Hague quote Gen Brar when even the other Indians have discredited him? Brar said the attack happened all of a sudden and nobody helped. When Hague also said it had been planned many months in advance with foreign help in training and techniques coming from Britain.

Because that naive mass murdering war criminal general brar trained at sandhurst and is very close to the Indian establishment and british establishment. His dad fought for the British Indian army in burma he says. As did shaheed General shabeg singh Ji who fought in the burma war for the British Indian army and the indo-pak war in 1971 and his final and most glorious battle he personally took part in 1st war of Independence for the Sikh nation in 1984 defending it from the invading Indian armed forces.

Lets be clear now we want the next steps to be for independence for Sikhs in punjab. Now that we have firm confirmation that the then UK govt gave support to Indian govt how to attack our holiest shrine and still to this day give them various support and trade deals at the expense of Sikhs have a voice for self-determination back home then we must focus on getting our own nation so that we can trade with the other nations in the world and live with dignity which Indian govt has failed to give the Sikhs since 1947.

We need to ensure any pro-establishment people do not have any business with fooling our people again. I've seen 1-2 morons on TV today who claim to be conservative party Sikhs with huge turbans and beards trying to say Sikhs are happy with the report. These people need to be side lined as far as possible they are pro-indian and anti-sikh people.

And they do not represent us and do not represent the majority of British Sikhs and more importantly the angry disillusioned Sikh youth who do not need greedy power hungry like a british badal poping up trying to course the destiny of our people into another well planned trap in the clever chess game.

I am a British Citizen and pay tax to the British Govt. on my earnings. Mine and other tax-payer's money is used by the British Govt. to fund their Intelligence, military, NHS and other govt. work. My tax-payer money is not meant to be used to provide secret intelligence by one individual running UK govt. to another individual running a foreign govt, to suppress foreign govt's rebels.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SIKHS, THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYBODY?

Is there any intelligence sent to Sri Lanka?

Is there any intelligence sent to Kashmir?

It is too naive for any Sikh reprsentatives to make statements on Sikh media - we are happy with this report.

THE INVESTIGATION IS NOT COMPLETE, THE INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS JUST STARTED,

THERE IS LOT TO COME,

IF IT IS ADMITTED IN THE VERY FIRST ENQUIRY-REPORT THAT THERE WAS SOME CONSULTANCY PROVIDED, BUT HAD MINIMAL EFFECT, JUST IMAGINE HOW DEEP THE CONSIPARCY IS, JUST IMAGINE WHAT MORE IS WAITING TO BE REVEALED FROM FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS ...

  • WHY UK PROVIDED THIS CONSULTANCY, EVEN THOUGH IT HAD MINIMAL OR NO IMPACT???
  • WHAT SORT OF OBLIGATION WAS UK SERVING TO PROVIDE THIS CONSULTANCY TO INDIAN GOVT.?
  • WHY THE UK GOVT. DIDN'T REFUSED ANY SUCH CONSULTANCY?
  • WHY???

AN INDEPENDENT JUDICIAL ENQUIRY SHOULD BE ASKED FOR, CRIMINAL CASES SHOULD BE FILED IN INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE ...

The India Today story states that the SAS provided detailed information to The Indians on combat techniques, fighting in the dark etc. All these were used in Bluestar.

UK foreign secretary confirms India Today story on Operation Sundown

Sandeep Unnithan New Delhi, February 5, 2014 | UPDATED 00:28 IST

UK Foreign Secretary William Hague on Tuesday confirmed Britain had indeed assisted in an Indian operation that was planned before Bluestar. "The nature of the UK's assistance was purely advisory, limited and provided to the Indian government at an early stage," Hague told Parliament on Tuesday. "It had limited impact on the tragic events that unfolded at the temple three months later," he said.

Hague's statement effectively confirms an India Today investigation "The Secret Operation before Bluestar" on January 31, 2014, which revealed Operation Sundown. This operation, to be carried out by the R&AW's "Special Group" (SG) commandos, was a combined ground and air assault meant to capture radical preacher Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. The initial objective of assaulting the Guru Nanak Niwas where Bhindranwale lived in, just outside the temple complex, was modified to include his new lodging, above the old langar building in the southern part of the complex. India Today impact: UK admits role in Bluestar, says it was limited and advisory

Labour Party MP Tom Watson on Saturday said he wanted "an urgent statement" in the House of Commons on Monday on an India Today magazine on the role of British special forces in Operation Sundown. Also read: The untold story before Operation Bluestar

Cabinet Secretary Jeremy Heywood's June 3 report to UK Prime Minister outlines stunning new details of the covert operation where the SG planned to capture Bhindranwale. The Cabinet Secretary's report reveals, for instance, that it was the SAS which had recommended a heli-borne insertion of Special Group commandos.

'The UK military adviser (a colonel in the UK's Special Air Service or SAS) was in India between 8-17 February, including a ground recce, with the Indian Special Group, of the temple complex…' the report mentions that the purpose of the British officer's visit as being to advise the SG who had already been working up for action in the temple complex, including tactics and techniques. The UK officers report to his authorities stated that the main difference between the original Indian plan and his advise was that the original plan was based on obtaining a foothold within the temple and fighting through in orthodox paramilitary style. With a view to reducing casualties, the UK military adviser recommended assaulting all objectives simultaneously, thereby assuring surprise and momentum. The advice given to the Indian authorities identified sufficient helicopters, and the capability to insert troops by helicopter, as critical to this approach. The UK advise also focused on command and control arrangements and night time coordination with Indian paramilitary with the Special Group.

From 200 files and 23000 docs could not find anything other than indeed SAS was sent and advise given..

The least the govt could do in the report is that

To admit released docs in the public domain are authentic..

What else?

Oh yeah that 5 docs were destroyed under labour govt ... ooops

anything else disclosed not been revealed yet from the 23000 docs ..?

Still doubt that this isnt a cover-up?
