Longowal felt frustrated on his failure to push out Sant Bhindranwale. Nevertheless he

continued his vicious onslaughton the gallant Sant He engaged Gurcharan Singh, an

ex-Naxalite, Office Secretary of his Akali Dal to eliminate Sant Bhindranwale at any cost.

This villain employed one Surinder Singh Chhinda and an immoral young woman Baljit Kaur and assigned them the job to exterminate the Sant. Some how or the other they could not succeed in harming the Sant. However both these hired assassins treacheously killed on 14th April, 1984 Surinder Singh Sodhi the trusted right hand man of Sant Bhindranwale. This outrageous crime was committed in the Sindhi Hotel situated just outside the Golden Temple

Complex. Malak Singh Bhatia helped Chhinda to escape after the treacherous murder of

Sodhi. But within 24 hour: Sodhi's death was avenged by killing all the conspirators

including the assassin and his mistress Baljit Kaur. This conspiracy was apparently

hatched at the behest of Longowal. Now Longowal feared that he, too, would be

punished by the Khalsa for his unpardonable and heinous crime. He, therefore, doubled

his efforts to seek help from the Central Government to eliminate Bhindranwale lest he

himself should perish. He talked to Indira Gandhi on telephone and gave her clear signal

to take any action which she deemed fit to eliminate Sant Bhindranwale. lndira Gandhi

and her son, Rajiv Gandhi, had already decided to take military action against

Bhindranwale and for that purpose commandos were being trained at Chakrata, a secret

Centre setup for imparting guerilla training to the selected soldiers. The commandos were

being trained there since March 1984 who were later to be sent to attack the Golden

Temple Complex. A special large model of the Golden Temple Complex was prepared at

Chakrata, to enable the commandos to make themselves familiar with the exit and entry

routes of the Complex so that they may not experience any difficulty at the time of actual

military action to achieve their set goal.

Ik Onkaar SatGur Prasaad ,Us Kirpan Khando kharg, Tupak Tabar ur tir, Safi Sorobi saithi yahai hamare pir The main servant of India from political angle, Bibi Indira Ji, I am expressing my thoughts which will reach your deaf ears. My voice will reach to you the discriminations against the Sikhs, which have injured their feelings. It may let your deaf ears feel, what type of language has been used. But in order to remove your deafness I want to express myself in this letter. Read it carefully.

The enquiry of the death of Lala Jagat Narain, who was connected with the Hindus, was complete within three days, the same may be proved from the warrants of my arrest, but the enquiry of the murder of the Guru of the Sikhs, the destruction of wealth of the Sikhs collected in the form of buses and the plunder of Sikh wealth of three Lakh at Chando Kalan was stopped with a writ of a government official because that enquiry was in the hands of a Sikh Judge, while my case was registered with a Hindu judge. This is an example of your deafness, because no Sikh had objected why my enquiry was entrusted to a Hindu judge. None of the Hindus have gone to jail for Hindi Suba; none has courted arrest for renaming a train after a Hindu temple. No one has ever gone to jail for getting a status of a sacred city for some Hindus railway station. None of them have made any sacrifice for the preservation of a Hindu symbol. After independ ence they got everything that suited them.

But contrary to this, after independence more then one Lakh of Sikhs have courted arrests and a large number of them has been martyred for Punjabi speaking state, for installing a transmitter in Golden Temple, for a status of a distinct nation, for getting the status of a sacred city for Amritsar and for getting the right to adorn the Sikh symbols. Even then your deaf ears have not heard anything.

Sikhs have already faced the cruelty of the rulers with peace, but you should know that when the patience is exhausted the Sikhs have resorted to the armaments according to the advice of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji- When all the means of a peaceful solution are exhausted it is just and pious to resort to arms. But we still have no programme to resort to arms, but if the injustice with the Sikhs continues like this under the intoxication of the chair it will not be tolerated for many years or months, because our patience is exhausted as we have been observing the peaceful mean since long. While asking the government to accede to our demands we have been propagating that a Hindu should be a perfect in his religious symbols. We think such Hindu as a brother. A Muslim should be perfect in his religion and a Sikh should be a perfect Sikh. That is what we preach. How far is it true to term such a person as a terrorist? Under the spell of false prestige of state power, many rulers have tried to finish the Sikhs and there is no sign of them now. If you continue your atrocities I am afraid, you will meet the same end because power and wealth never remain permanently with anybody.

Pulling off Sikh girls cloths and forcing their father to have sex with them, to put tobacco on the mouth of a Sikh and spitting in his mouth, making a wound in the thigh and putting salt in the wound, putting the houses of the Sikhs on fire, making false cases on Sikh girls, arresting Sikh students, killing them in false encounters, and protecting the murderers of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are some of the incidents worth mentioning.

Here we can see there was a clear evidence and attempt by the Indian state's complicty in creating violence between hindus and sikhs in order to paint sant bhindranwale and his followers as terrorists as violent anti-national separatists bent on creating Khalistan. Remember sunday times reported in 1983-84 that the RAW was shipping in arms into darbar sahib and nothing was done against it. It is widely suspected that the Indian RAW terrorist group used the name "deshmesh regiment" to carry out their attacks. Interesting there was a deshmesh regiment headed by Indian war hero general shabeg singh... was he part of the conspiracy? or more likely the name "dashmesh regiment" was hijacked and used by the RAW unknowingly to him what was the master plan against the Sikhs. The India Today TV programme started as I thought India would handle this story, Khalistanis, terrorists etc. however it ends up with most panelists blaming Indira and the army for the situation in the 1980's.It is good to see at last the Indians admitting that the situation in the Punjab was allowed to worsen on purpose. Indira wanted a showdown with Sikhs as they had opposed her the most during the Emergency. The countless lost lives were due to her stupidity. Also the programme above by India Today states the SAS trained commandos of RAW Special Group DID take part in Bluestar. This then proves British involvement in Bluestar even though they may say they did not produce the final plans.

1. Gen Jamwal states the order to kill Sikhs who were captured. This goes against all norms of warfare, Pakistani soldiers are treated batter. This shows they wanted to kill as many Sikhs as possible that opposed Indiras plans.

2. The firing of the anti tank missile at the Sikh Reference Library, Gen Jamwal states it missed the Akal Takht and hit the library. The two buildings are very far apart at 90 degrees to each other. This was deliberate.

Bhaji, We have looked into the International Criminal Court to seek justice for Sikhs.

The court theoretically has universal jurisdiction, but can only prosecute if the state, where the crimes were committed or the state of the nationality of the accused, are party to the Rome Statute.

The International Criminal Court was created by the Rome Statute which came into force on 1 July 2002. Unfortunately, India has neither signed nor ratified or acceded to the Rome Statute.

The International Criminal Court has no police force of its own to track down and arrest suspects. Instead, it must rely on national police services to make arrests and seek their transfer to The Hague. So, the chances are zero.

India and the United States signed a pact under which they agreed not to send each other's nationals to a world tribunal. The court has been ratified by 121 countries - but not by the US, China, Russia and others, so the International Criminal Court is largely ineffective but makes good propaganda with fallen dictators.

Unfortunately, the UN is equally ineffective.
