Geezer who r u kidding? No is blaming sikhs regardin 1857 mutiny? If i had a pound for everytime some smelly indian said/told me about how sikhs r "sellouts" for supportin brits, id b a rich bandha. We r usually always reminded by hindus, n by some muslims of how we backstabbed apnay. So i find it hard to believe ur words that "no one is blaming sikhs".

Regarding bhagat singh, u shud read bhai randhir singhs jail chittiyan, where the converation between him and bhagat singh is shown, n how sad he felt. Also revealed how the other revolutionaties were tellin him to cut his hair, n how hindu newspapers were editing their articles, so sikhs were not to look like heroes.

Quite easily (still happens today), its called 'divide and conquer' then once conquered give the prominent leaders (sympathetic to your cause) big carrots to follow the line and smaller carrots to the ones who help you maintain your rule.
