Harmonium Lessons?

Khalsa Ji, anybody know of any Gurdwaras in the West Midlands that they know of that give good lessons in teaching Harmonium?

Really? I didn't know that. Personally like it too, really melodic at times. Some people have such a natural talent for them too. love listening to it.

Our ears have become accustomed to Harmonium so we (including myself) like it.

But in truth, nothing in reality compares to Kirtan accompanied with string and wind instruments, unmatched for the infinite range of notes available. Flute and Saranghi for me produce the most magical sounds. When matched with a suitable voice its out of this world, hits you right in the chest. A Shabad sung in raag with these instruments, I find also has a longer lasting impact on the mind.

Mera chela, nothing wrong with other instruments. I love the Rabab and many others. But just because harmonium was not the choice instrument of Bhai Mardana Ji [was it invented then?] I adore the piano too, but harmonuim is beautiful I find.

Harmonium is all good and dandy but our own instruments are way better at evoking emotion than keyboarded instruments. Guitars are great too Singh123456777. String instruments whether plucked, fingered or bowed, theyre all great. But Guru Sahibs instruments are in a league of their own. They were made for us. Why not learn how to play those?
