Human Combustion Or Black Magic?

I think negative powers do exist, and it's been tried on the Gurus, but where's the proof? Surely, they would have doubts of who, but it's not been mentioned. It has been identified as a rare medical condition. If it is black magic then why are the feet and legs unburned. Surely in different countries, somebody cannot be using the same magic spell.

I highly doubt Black Magic really works though. Madho Das(Banda Singh Bahadur) attempted Black Magic but it had no use to evil Guru Sahib's shastar.

Black magic is no doubt real, the thing is it only effects people who do not have a protector. We Sikhs have our Gurudevs, Sri Vaheguru ji, many other unknown energies which may protect us if we are devotees of Sri Vaheguru ji in Sikhi.. When people do not dedicate themselves to a deity soul, they are not protected (and they get attacked by whoever has made them their target in the paranormal sense). Blessed people with good karma do not have to face these circumstances even if they are nastik in this life, so that is another way they are protected (from past life karmas).

As for the above case, it can be anything.

How would the witches and whatnot know who had good or bad Karma?

They don't know, black magic is an experiment, if it works they are happy, if it doesn't then they keep trying or just stop. Traditionally, black magic was used in extreme cases if someone is harming/trying to kill you or your family, but people have become besharam and made businesses out of it. In the beginning of most black magic prayers it says if it is used for bad intentions (such as harming innocent people, using it for fun) the user will go to narakh when they die. Another thing is if someone practices black magic, and they make a mistake while pronouncing the mantars it can backfire on them.. It is risky.

if you go against Akal Purakh's hukam you guarantee your own downfall...every person I have observed trying to use this method against gursikhs who do their nitnem they get thwarted and in the long term they destroy their own families

Actually some say that Holika had been blessed with a blanket/chadar by Sri Brahma and that chadar protects one from fire etc. Holika felt bad for Prahlad Bhagat ji, and put it around his body and she became shaheed for him.. That is why Holi is named after Holika, because she saved Bhagat Prahlad ji.

That doesn't make sense then because in gurbani Prahlad di example is associated with Naam simran , that is how he was saved by naam .

That's not how it happened at all. Harnakash's entire family has done some very strange things with the exception of Prahlad. Prahlad being a disciple of Vaheguru Ji was protected from the death he was suppose to get. "ਹਰਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਭਗਤ ਉਪਾਇਆ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥
