why do nihangs celebrate Dussehra ?

Guru Gobind Singh Jee at the end of 'Ramavatar' in Sri Dasam Granth has writtten :

ਸਾਧ à¨à¨¸à¨¾à¨§ à¨à¨¾à¨¨à© ਨਹ੠ਬਾਦ ਸà©à¨¬à¨¾à¨¦ ਬਿਬਾਦਿ ॥ à¨à©à¨°à©°à¨¥ ਸà¨à¨² ਪà©à¨°à¨£ à¨à©à¨¯à© ਭà¨à¨µà¨¤à¨¿ à¨à©à¨°à¨¿à¨ªà¨¾ ਪà©à¨°à¨¸à¨¾à¨¦à¨¿ ॥੮੬੨॥

It is difficult to decide who was a saint and who was not; it is a contentious issue. My job was to complete this epic with the grace of God  which I have done

In Sri Dasam Grant, Guru Jee also says that both Raam and Krishan are subject to Kaal.

So, why do nihangs celebrate the victory of raam over ravana?

Ravan was the Param Bhagat of Shiva and a great Tapasvi. Physically he was very powerful. He had all the scriptures memorized. His Shiv Tandava Stotram which he uttered is considered a Sanskrit master peace and the greatest tribute to Shiva by any of his Bhagats. Due to his Tapasya, he gained many boons which made him feel he is unbeatable. This made him very Hankaari. Nihangs probably celebrate his death because Ram is considered the ancestor of the Sodhis.

Aren't both Sodhis and Bedis considered descendants of Ram? (Not that him being the physical ancestor of Guru Sahib means he is equal to Guru Sahib, as there is nobody like Guru Sahib).
