Sikhism and the Future

1. Can someone provide an accurate number of how many Sikhs there are in the world and how many Sikhs there will be in the future?

2. What is the fertility rate of the average Sikh?

In my opinion, I think that in order for Sikhism to become a much larger religion than it already is, the mean fertility rate of the average Sikh must substantially increase.

3. Do you think that it is necessary for the Akal Takht and other prominent Sikhs and Granthis to launch conversion campaigns in India?

4. What and how do you see Sikhism being in the future? How many adherents will there be and how relevant will it be to the mainstream not just in India, but in other countries?

SIkhi will grow exponentially if we do parchaar wholeheartedly , there are so many souls suffering in kalyug ...we don't need to rely on just fertility or fecundity to improve numbers.

That is why SGPC is not supporting Indiawide parchaar because sikhi would appeal to the majority of the population as it would give so many freedoms that it scares the elites

and will upturn the social structure of the country. But it will need to happen to advance the nation , can you imagine a billion people of that level of chardi kala what could not be achieved?

problem with censuses in the past and worldwide is they generally do not count sikhs .

The future will be very unstable for all humans because of the power struggles between different political ideologies in that time the ordinary person will need internal strength to endure despite this and the message of Naam will speak to them

1, Nobody really knows, for example, Vanjaria Sikhs are never counted in any census, and they equal a few million, (but Brahminwaad doesn't want to count them).

2. Sikhs could have a lot of kids if it was possible; however, in the era of NEW ATHEISM, (Dawkins, Hawking, and others), this will actually not help as much as it used to, we should focus on Prachar in this era.

3. No, Sikhs individually can do Prachar, as like BasicsOfSikhi, who has converted a few people, (no exact numbers), individual Sikhs doing street Prachar will actually be more productive than anything SGPC Takht can do.

4. Sikhi will be the only hope, there are Hindus who are looking for enlightening their soul, which is why Pakhandi Babas have increased by a lot, Christians and Muslims among other religions are trying to find spirituality as well, but without the stamp of Guru Sahib they will not find it. We can expect that if we teach Sikhi properly, the numbers will grow.
