Women wear makeup for self-confidence issues and to please the opposite sex, whether that’s their partner or men in general

Recommended Posts

Women wear makeup for self-confidence issues and to please the opposite sex, whether that’s their partner or men in general. Women don’t let their husbands see them without makeup. There have been cases where husbands did not recognize their wives without makeup after marriage, and their marriages ended up in divorces. In one case, bride’s face got wet in a swimming pool and all her make up came off. The husband divorced his wife a few days after marriage. In another case, husband thought there was a thief in the house, but it was actually his wife.

Women’s insecurity about their physical looks also come from men, even Gursikhs. Many Gursikh men expect their wives to wear makeup and look “good.” This is hugely problematic. A relationship can never be strong when it’s depended on outer appearance or kaam. There are always going to be conflicts if women want their partners or people to like them because of their outer false appearance. We should let others like us however Guru Sahib Ji made us. Do we need this false belief that we are beautiful by wearing makeup? Do we really need to get attention from the opposite sex? Isn’t this form of kaam? Do we want relationships based on falsehood?

Three things:

One: Some women have become so expert with the 'war paint' that they can make themselves look really attractive with it but when it comes off - the opposite is true. This ain't fair on guys who get conned into being with someone who is essentially wearing a mask that is nothing like their true physical self - with the ensuing confusion and shock when the mask is removed.

Second thing: People don't wan't to end up like Jagsaw, who obviously looks at other people's attractive wives and then looks at his own, and then falls into depression. Everyone should make efforts to keep themselves in good, presentable shape. Same way a Singh shouldn't get married, get too comfortable and let go, and turn into a bloated lard ar5ed, beached whale - now that he has 'captured' his missus.

Lastly: As dyslexia is to writing, and dyscalculia to maths skills,  a helluva lot of Sikh women seem to have some condition with renders them completely incapable of utilising make up products in any balanced way. Their choice of colours (usually bright and the opposite of subtle, pretty much like a farmers bhangra paa-ing outfit) coupled with the share amount of product they use can often lead to them looking like this (see image below - you know we've all seen aunties that look exactly like this!). If they must use it, many need to be trained on how to do so, so the whole endeavour doesn't become self-defeating. Less is more in this respect.

i disagree to putting others down if you are against makeup find the root cause, agyaantha, they need education not bashing, prem parchar not slander parchar. we really need to treat other women as human beings not ridicule them, do you personally know what sumones personal struggles are? then dont judge others but yourself, your going to give lekha for your own karam not for others,, so worry about yourself.  i dont believe in forcing views on others. be strict with yourself but accept others with compassion. Sikhi would not have survived are grown if we only had ppl like you

    • What I said earlier  proves the fact that you are an offspring of those fudhooo pendhoo idiots that never washed their faces in their entire lives, due to power failures and water shortages, in some pendhoo fudhoo village in punjab until they reached some shores of highly civilised industrialised western hemisphere, albeit, illegally, fresh o’boats hahahaha and forget about  the  health farm or Spa experience! Judging from your response,  I am now able to deduce, same as everyone else on this forum, that you belong to ‘some insignificant’  majority labelled as the ‘ trouble makers’ of the Sikh kom, that fight in our gurdwareys around the world on the slightest of provocation because of diminished responsibility and cowardice! Now tell us all on this forum, how disgraceful is that? Your conduct is not only pendhoo but also extremely pitiful and disgusting, to be honest!  Note: Did you learn English from some pendhoo fudhoo school situated somewhere in a remote equally pendhoo fudhoo village school in rural Punjab? I bet you speak with some horrid local accent! You should really try and make effort to return to your little hole in the ground immediately! What a pitiful coward!
    • these are real people  in real pain, 4 days and counting
    • So did some sikhs who were convinced that the end goal justified any means by hindus in INC, my point is both are fascist in their own ways  so don't think that you are getting any pass from either. You like labelling people don't you but truth is you cannot sidestep the duty assigned to sikhs by the Guru  because it is inconvenient. All it takes for evil to thrive is for the good people to do nothing . people who have no one , still have sharan in Guru's house if they come , and if someone comes to a sikh for help we are duty bound to do our best. These women and children have gone through the same things as our widows and children did in 1984 , house invasions then murder and rape torture .If people didn't help ours back then does that mean we do the wrong thing now like them or do what our Guru ji said?
    • Lol and you wanna talk deluded?  You not only got triggered, you then constructed a narrative about my life... that you know nothing about... then applied your confirmation bias to it...and used that as your reasoning to support your apparent points that a) I'm deluded and b) I've failed the Yazidi people ...all because I shared opinions about world events...bravo..
