Doubt

Even though I thought that doubt was about to leave and I was walking towards Guru Sahib, an hour ago I read a comment saying that is not true and it is a dumb concept made to fool us

Please really need help. Last post was on the same topic but need more replies.

Have any of you gone through this doubt?

What is God?

How do we meet God?

And does the soul live after death?

Any human with an enquiring mind that seeks the truth undergoes such crises of faith. Nobody can convince you whether all the things you want to be true ARE true as they relate to your own particular understanding of life and existence (at this stage in your life), because we are fundamentally driven by different forces, even though from another perspective we aren't as different, individual, or as complex as we like to believe.

I usually find a person who's lived a little of life with many of its trials and tribulations is in a better to place to seek the answers to these questions from within themselves instead of seeking definitive and insurmountable validation from others or external sources. 

You're asking questions that have troubled humans since conscious thought came into being. What do you expect people to say? You can either receive these answers as expressions of our belief in the Sikh faith (and then continue the journey to discover how these beliefs relate to you), or you can dismiss them based on what you currently feel to be your overall understanding of life and such matters. It really is all about faith. Trying to definitively get to the bottom of life's greatest mysteries on an overcast Saturday afternoon is asking too much of the sangat on here, lol.

I think this will require more personal reflection and patience. These internal tribulations are normal for the consciously seeking mind. Take this as a positive marker. Advice and individual experiences might help. But it's really going to be your own synthesis that will bring about a certain degree of contentment.

I will try leave the doubts alone and not dwell upon them and just trust Guru. (Any tips for that?)

Read Japji Sahib all your doubts will be removed. Read articles on websites like www.Sikh-history.com and ask yourselves why did Sikhs rather chose death than convert to other faiths? Sacrificing their entire wealth and families when they could have easily converted and lived an easy or comfortable life.

What was so precious and so important worth dying for in Sikhi that they did not abandon their faith against overwhelming odds?
