we were cheated a place in the final..the guy jus cannot accept that the penji was better than him...anyway we r very happy to get a fourth place finish after just having two months of training..long live malaysian gatkha akara..jus feel sad that my bro was injured at his eye...anyway good competition though..need to have more items like this on a more frequent basis..boleh soo nihal..sat sri akaal...malaysia boleh... :e: :wub: ))))

Niketan did it...we all watch the live telecast, thanks to waheguroo network for showing it live.

The gatka group from Sant Attar Brahm Vidya Niketan Foundation with Guru Maharaj kirpa for the very first time took part in a gatka competition and with just 3 months of training.

Waheguru dhi kirpa naal they did so well that in our eyes there are the winners, no matter what ever that happend during the competition and they have got the 4th placing. :TH:

Our phenji..harjinder kaur created history in the gatka akhara. We all screamed our heart out wathcing her playing and winning the game :wub:

Just want to say Thank you harjinder....you have inspired us even more now.

I stayed up all night to watch it cuz here in Surrey... it started at 2:00 am so me and another Singh stayed up all night and watched the whole thing!!! the second day atleastt!!! I was left shocked when i tuned into the broadcast at 3:00am on the second day that the chief guest was a member of the CONGRESS party. I think that those people that put the show on have no zameer and have forgotten the terrors that this same atrocious party unleashed.

You all know what this party has done to sikhi and sikhs. And you are all aware of what the state of Punjab is today. I don’t have to go into that. But it's appalling that a member of the same party, that Indira belonged to, was the chief guest at such a function.

For a person to be in a party they have to first agree with the policies that the party stands for. So when that Sunieel guy became a member of the Congress party, he must have known about the party's anti-sikh agenda.

What is disgusting is that they had hindu dholis who did not cover their heads uncovered. The chief guest and 4-5 like him also did not have their heads covered.

Where they can get hundreds of gatka players, why can't they find gursikh dholis.

Even more despicable is the fact that the two commentators were asking the crowd to clap. Those guys asked the crowd to clap at the union minister by saying tarrian tarrian. Most Sikhs outside of India would die than to clap for a member of the congress.

What value doShaheeds like Bhai Beant Singh and Satwant Singh hold on the hearts of these people that call that dhusht belonging to the Congress. Hey, he may be a good guy, but Sikhs can never forgive the congress party. He belongs

to that party that was responsible for killing the only sons of thousands of sikh parents that are struggling to make ends meet. Why don’t these thugs compensate the victims?

One of the main "sewadars" was present at the place from where they broadcasted this thing.

Things like these make me realize that sikhi in India has hit a deep pit.

I want to know from whaeguroo network for the sangats knowledge: why this event was broadcasted? Why are u guys hosting their site when there was so much manmutt going on at the event that this group organized? Do you know everything about this group? Are the people that run this group well known panthic entities?

Becuse of people like davindersingh , our panth will never be together, darvinder ur post shows more jealousy then love towards panth,the cheif guest was the sports minister, and we invited him so that the gatka can be promoted as a sport on national and international level,we didnt invite him because of his affiliation to the congress party, but because he is the sports minister if u where present and saw all, u must have heard what our respected sports minister said, he said he will promote gatkaa into national and international level, i know u might have not heard this, so im asking sangat " does sangt wants our guru hargobind sahibs gatkaa to be promoted around the world" sanu apdaa versaa sambhalnaa yaa.

it was a great event for promotion of gatka among sikhs. thats why it was broadcasted .

that further helps promotion. understood or not.

gatkaa is only and only for sikhs . if its made a sport then every one even ciggarette walaas , tambaku walas will learn it . so keep this precious thing for sikhs only and that too khalsa.

and moreover these hindutva groups, malicious indian government will dope up Gatka by stting up their malicious rules and regulations. They will just make it more useful for hindus and others than sikhs and there are more chances of gatka loosing its spritual significance once its commercialised in front of india.

looking at the depth of the people who present us like the presentor who without any need(in order to please Sunit Dutt) said "during the time of millitancy in punjab..."

the way the Sikhs are dis-organised is aweful, they get so excited wen they see some diginitory, they forget everything ...they start shouting slogans in favour of him on a call from anybody without even thinking, how much the next person has actually done for Sikhi or understands Sikhi?

Tell you guys lets wake up and save our heritage in Sikhi ways but not by pleasing these politicians.

atching gatka all over the world has little importance in front of him. this was like we are advertising Sunil Dutt infront of Sikh community. they repeated the kids show for him but earlier didn't let baba ji recite bani and relate gatka steps with tuks of bani for the time issue....

Its a big shame on us. we don't respect ourselves. we don't respect our gurus. we can fall down to any level to please others instead of Guru ji..

We were literally begging infront of Sunit Dutt with the language and action of people there. Don't we ahve any self-respect. these people are responsible for the killings of thousands of my brothers in india. are you sure they are with us?

we more keen for the recognisation of gatka from corrupt india and than infront of the sikh world??

Appne loki taan sare mone bani jande han, unna tu taan sambo pela...Tell you people, mostly day today policies of India are to promote sikhs to cut hair and join hinduvta groups and hindu image. You are trying to hand over the last bits of heritage to them so that they can do it more perfectly

GATKA competition was great but the above things are also worth considering.

Admins, I'm not against the growth of Sikh panth or any particular person but I always feel these are the kind of things where Sikh Jagat lacks. So, please let me also make my point. Please dont delete this post like the earlier one. Many thanks
