Fear and guilt is a potent tool for control.

Yeah fear is the easiest way to control someone or even a mass number of people. Its how rulers, religious leaders and elite have controlled the masses and still do.

Its how the 1% Brahmins controlled millions, by spreading fear through superstitions, and if one didn't comply then they faced punishments which even the Mughals were impressed by and adopted the same methods. Even the Mughals accepted the Brahmins sharp intellect and bought into the superstitions, employing Brahmins as advisors. Aurangzeb had more Brahmins working in his empire than any of his predecessors, they would give him auspicious times to carry out his campaigns and other activities. Jehangir would give charity in weight equal to his own weight, which the Brahmins had advised him to do so.

Its impressive in the sense how such a tiny % of people were/are able to control millions with fear spread through superstations.

Its why Guru Gobind Singh ji said don't scare others and don't be scared yourself.

Its funny how we were talking ghost etc, today when I was walking home i saw a roti and a half a raw potato on top of it in the alleyway nxt to the Gurdwara ?     walked past it saying waheguru waheguru waheguru

Think its been sitting there for a couple of days as it had green mold growing on it.

You know even animals don't eat food which has been "tampered" with, they have a very strong sense ...

It's multi-coloured rice scattered on the street on a Tuesday around where I live. They do it between 1:30am and 3:00am when everyone's asleep. Absolute waste people. Need shooting or stabbing, tbh.

It doesn't reflect so favourably on the Indian masses.

Controversially, it also goes someway to illustrate why there's never been a prophet / messenger, etc., of Western European heritage. While there's definitely been superstitions and faith-induced hysteria in these lands throughout history, funny how the natives have never been blessed with someone in the vein of Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, etc. You could argue Europe's need for such a figure in the many, many dark moments of its history outweighed the need for these individuals who seemed to congregate almost exclusively in the East.

Before anyone replies with, "Jesus was white," no, he wasn't. ?

There should be a law against witchcraft! but unfortunately the Europeans got rid of that centuries ago!

If it comes back then most the witches behind bars would be wearing salwar kameej or saris lol
