What has become of the Punjabi suits?

Punjabi suit was always a decent dress that covered the body in a respectable manner. Chunni was used to cover the chest nicely.

But what has become of Punjabi suits lately?

lol my parents would kill me if I ever wore that, which fair enough. Imagine turning up to the gurdwara in that.

I remember maskeen ji saying that present day bad women deliberately show off their body curves to the outside men.

Nowadays it's just a symbol worn near the neck.

Men should not encourage it but some do. Also, 'media'. I think the TV and cinema age (as well as radio) has done massive harm to society in the past 50-100 years.

This is not new. At least 15 years ago I remember seeing photos or hearing from my Mum about a wedding she'd just attended in Panjab and surprised to know that chest exposure (to above the cleavage) and some back exposure in suits was considered 'fashion'.

Yes it must have started that time around.

There is chest exposure and also  sleeveless suits have become popular too.
