Tansukh lahori a great sikh who probably attacked Aurangzeb!

Pyara Singh Padam in his book 'Darbari Ratan' mentions a sikh named Tansukh. He belonged to Lahore but most probably attacked Aurangzeb after shaheedi of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. He was caught by Aurangzeb's soldiers and was jailed in a place called rannthambor in Gujarat or Rajasthan.

Two of his sons were with Guru Gobind Singh ji at Anandpur Sahib and they sent him a copy of 'hitopadesha' Granth translated in braj bhasha by court poet Lakhan Rai.

Tansukh really liked Lakhan Rai's work and translated it using different chhands like dohra and chaupai. He named it Raajniti Granth.

I am attaching all pages of book 'Darbari Ratan' which give info on tansukh.

Page no. 97 mentions tansukh attacked Aurangzeb.

Tansukh seems to be a really devoted and brave sikh. Plz read some of his poetry which Pyara Singh Padam has included in his book.

Even his version of hitopadesha shud be digitalized and studied. His manuscript is also lying in bhasha vibhag library, patiala.

I think there was also an incident when Aurangzeb before the creation of the Khalsa had ordered the destruction of the Hindu Mandirs and the local Faujdar ordered a Sikh Gurdwara to be also destroyed in Buriya in Haryana area. A Mullah was appointed to the Mosque constructed over the demolished Gurdwara. The Sikhs attacked it, lynched the Mullah and destroyed the newly built Mosque.

I read in some Persian source (that I can't find now), that a Sikh threw a brick at Auranga (in Delhi maybe) after nauvin padshah's shaheedi. I'm wondering if it was Tansukh?

More research shud be done on tansukh.

Aurangzeb was attacked 3 times in 1676 AD.

In June, he was attacked by a stick.

On 19th October, a person (most probably Tansukh) came with a sword near Aurangzeb.

On 27th October, he was attacked by 2 bricks by some sikh of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.

Tansukh was a great sikh. He attacked Aurangzeb and put his life and his families life in great risk. Same as Beant Singh and Satwant Singh did by attacking indira.

A book shud be written on tansukh and his version of hitopadesha shud be printed in the same book.
