In the nanaksar mariyadha why are women not allowed to do kirtan on stage?

wasnt it guru nanak dev ji that sed how important equality was? :wub: i jus didnt understand that so was wonderin if anyone cud explain id be very greatful

if it is mariyadha then its not supposed to happen is it? so how come in Thath Gurdwara they allow it? it all seems quite strange to me

in the nanaksar gurudwara in the area where i live, women can do keertan on the stage

admin note: nanaksar is a respectable jatha of the panth

no attack any panthic jatha will be allowed

btw, the nanaksar near my house lets women do keertan

so, this is just a warning

no attacks on any jatha, keep it clean

I've never heard of such a rule in nanaksar gurdwaras...

the "dodra" sangat has done quite a few samagams in Nanaksar gurdwaras in Toronto and if anyone has attended a samagam, they would see quite a few bhens doing kirtan. It has never been a problem with the gurdwara.

However, if you want to find the official stance of Nanaksar, it is best to go to a nanaksar gurdwara and ask the management there.

im not tryin to criticise anyone here or any mariyadha i was jus wonderin but its ok i think it might be best to ask the management as someone suggested

um women in nanaksar samparda have different roles to men.

yes they are not allowed inside the sachkhand where maharaj is prakashed and that is the one aspect of nanaksar maryada that i being from nanaksar dont actually agree with.

but this is baba nand singh jis hukam so it is up to you if you want to obey or not.

nanaksat thats are run by baba amar singh ji who is a bit of a dodgy guy. ive met him countless times but i dont know what to make of him.

but i can say one thing that all nanaksar thaths dont follow the correct nanaksar maryada as in the one that baba nand singh ji showed. they do their own thing most of the time.

if you want to see correct nanaksar maryada that baba nand singh ji showed go to baba gurdev singh jis nanaksar gurdware.

theres one in smethwick and one in southhall.

baba gurdev singh jis dere follow the actal correct maryada. he was the jathedar of the panj piare during baba ishar singh ji nanaksar wale.

they were then told to go out and spread the nanaksar samparda.

i wouldnt go to nanaksar thaths because they are quite dodgy places.

Can someone upload the nanaksar Maryada onto the net, please pm me, trying to get a hold of it in english.

Usually men sit infront of the kirtani stage, so we would have to switch sangata around, it would not be ackward to look at womens feet even in an act of humility when listening.
