MP3's are already compressed, i mean really compressed. Although there might be other formats now that allow better compression than mp3.

To compress an mp3, it depends if the mp3 bitrate is 128, u can make this even smaller by changing it to 64 kbps bitrate! that decreases the file size, however the sound is not so great!

The best way to really compress MP3s are to switch to OGGs or WMAs. These can maintain the quality of MP3s, but are much smaller in file size.
