Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh I have question from the leanred individuals on the forum. Why is it that some sants don't have "singh" as the last name? Why is it that they also don't wear sri sahib as a kakkar? And lastly when you say fateh the don't return the fateh back to you. However when they do ardaas and so forth these sants mention fateh to SGGS as normal. This is not about dissing sants and not meant to cause debate , simple answers would be much appreciated.

ਹਿੰਦੂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਤੁਰਕੂ ਕਾਣਾ ॥ हिंदू अंन्हा तुरकू काणा ॥ Hinḏū anĥā ṯurkū kāṇā. The Hindu is sightless; the Muslim has only one eye. ਦੁਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ दुहां ते गिआनी सिआणा ॥ Ḏuhāʼn ṯe gi▫ānī si▫āṇā. The spiritual teacher is wiser than both of them. Can someone please tell what it means by "kaana " and "anna" in this context . What maharaj is saying ?

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I was just browsing my old web folder and found some files that I had converted a few years back. I once downloaded a powerpoint presentation about the Lotus Flower. Like probably half of us have gone through, my computer starting acting up and when i sent it in for repair they formatted my hardrive. Turns out that i had converted the powerpoint presentation to html and uploaded it to a server. I only did this because I had a friend who didn't have powerpoint and wanted to see it. Anyway, years later I'm glad that I converted it over because I'm having an extremly difficult time finding the original powerpoint file…

Gurfateh ! As you may of guessed from my posts , I have a passion for collecting pictures and books - one of my favourite books is 'Durbar' by Mortimer Menpes - I managed to get a first edition copy from ebay at a bargain price - in the days when you could get a bargain on ebay ! It is special as it comes from the library of the Maharaja of Alwar (Rajastan) - The book published in 1903 is a pictorial record of the Delhi Darbar, held on New year's day 1903, to celebrate the declaration of Edward the VII as Emperor of India. The book is illustrated with 100 engravings of paintings by Mortimer Menpes - I think these paintings are stunning --- with amazing bright colo…

I haven't read Chandi di Vaar because my rehat isn't good enough and thus im not an expert or anything but I want to ask what you guys think about the story of CHANDI DI VAAR...When was it created and why? WaheguruJiKaKhalsaWaheguruJiKiFateh daas was just wondering what Manglacharan is and what it means; and when does one read it? daas remembers searching on the internet on how to do take a hukamnama from Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaaj and upon doing so, daas found the www.BCSikhYouth.ca site and it said that Baba Harnam Singh Ji Kherasahib wale said the proper way to take hukamnama was to either read manglacharan (Which would bring a more "accurate" hukamnama) or by reading Mool Mantr. Could sangat please enlighten daas on what Manglacharan means and what is "considered" to be Manglacharan. Thank you - daas WaheguruJiKaKhalsaWaheguruJiKiFateh

Gurfateh ! Vaisakhi Di Lakh Lakh Vadai ! Happy Vaisakhi ! Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ! The Nishan Sahib given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to Baba Triloka & Baba Ram when bestowing 'Amrit' to them CE 1702 - Trilok Singh & Ram Singh, the sons of Phul went on to form the Royal Houses of Patiala, Jind & Nabha. This Nishan Sahib is in a fragile state and is housed in the New Moti Bagh Palace Patila. Much debate exists about the colour of Nishan Sahibs, it can be seen that this Nishan is neither Blue or Kesri, but is a 'Basanti' yellow. The Pavitar Kesh & Kangha of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, gifted to Peer Buddhu Shah. Peer Buddhu Shah (Badr ud-Din) gave 700 of …
