I think this debate has gone on long enough.

Some Basic point

1) We are all sons of the same father

2) We may have been split into different jathebandis to achieve specific aims of the panth - some like seva - kar seva, some kirtan - akj, some martial arts - nihang singhs, some gurbani jaap and arth - damdamitaksaal.

3) The jathedaars of Taksaal do not mention the Nihang Singh link or Budha Dal link etc. If you want to beleive it, so be it.

4) You state taksaal Singh dropped the bana

I have several pics of Taksaal Vidiarthis who wear ''not taksali bana if there is one'', some pics of Baba Gurbachan Singh Jee with shastars etc.

5) Taksaal Vidiarthis may have worn a ''more planar bana and a saintly dress'', but when required to give their heads and stand up for the panth they gave kurbania in very massive numbers, a huge proportion of the generals of the current movement were vidiarthis of Sant Jee and/or had close links - hence retook up yor ''apparent bana - shastars etc'' and lead the kaum, can the same be said about others?

It seems then that taksaal gave santhia to the nihang singhs, hence it being a different entity.

On an overall bigger picture, who cares? i personally dont, the jathedaars state differently, you beleive what you want, i dnt really care

in the misl period back then. nihangs had different duties. there were langari nihangs, jangi nihangs, and also the vidyaarthi nihangs who gave santhiya and many more. so instead of just listening to one side of the story "taksali katha" you should do your own research too my friend

I am quite sure I said there were ALLOWED to disarm not that they were required too. If some one wanted to keep shaster rehat, chardi kala. They were not MANDATED to be fully shaster dhari with their kamar kaasas tied.

5.. are you doubting Harienvelas shaheedis? Baba Nihal Singh ji isn't called jinda shaheed cause it sounds cool. This isnt a contest of who has sacrificed more, that becomes a houmai contest.

So i guess the dals raagis, langar seva, etc are not nihangs because they are not jangi singhs. Budha dal therefore can not be nihangs as well as they dont do most of the fighting... combat is done by taruna dal?
