In ardas we say: Ardaas, Ekh-oonkaar Vaaheguroo jee kee Fat'eh. Sree Bhagautee jee Sahaa-e. Vaar Sree Bhagautee jee kee Paat'shaahee D'assveen BUT we are not saying the Vaar of Sree Bhagauti, we are only remembering our Guru-ah, so should we not say Vaar Sri Bhagauti Ji ki as this Vaar is Chandni Di vaar? Could some one explain this to me please? Thanks AKAAL!

Why is that maya seem so sweet? i mean guru sahib tells us time and again that maya is not good, nothing good wil come outta it. even knowing that we are still attracted to maya very much. lets take MOH for example. (wanted to take another example, but i think this will serve its purpose) guru sahib tells us its not good to be in moh with anyone, but even knowing this we still get trapped in it !!!!!!!!!! why is that? :devil: this has been bugging me for quite some time now. why does maya seem so sweet? we would automatically rise above maya the day we dont find it sweet. until then, why is maya so sweet?

What is heaven and hell? If i have my beloved lord on my side, i am ready to walk through the fires of hell and pleasures of heaven. guru ji told us to become one with GOD, then we become beyond heaven and hell, we see god in everything even hell. Even hell is God. if there was no fear of hell, how many of us would remember him? GOD takes us through heaven and then hell and then wants us to go beyond, Beyond is the truth, everlasting peace. E.g. god gives a gambler a winning hands and then losing hands and then wants him to go beyond and find the truth. He can choose to stay in heaven and hell or go beyond. only the true gurmukh who is one with GOD, is not affected …

roop deep granth was recomended from a vidunti sahib from amritsar and i am on a misson to find this granth. its a granth written by a giani. in this granth there is explanations of chand. we all know how to count the matras to see if bani 'adds up' like, chaupi is normaly 16 matras but can be 15 or 17 when needed. bujang pryat chand is in 10z. ie 10 or 20. chaachri chand is 5 or 6. dohra is 13 then 11 (i think!11 may be 12!) soratha chand is opposite of dohra, 11 then 13. and from my research, savaya is like chaupi but doubles. you got others that iv only heard of like, chapai chand is 150 matra! rola +ulaal is bujang pryaat chand and so on.. other chand are a…

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
