Honesty is central to Sikh ethics. But I do not see that promoted anywhere. All I see is 'earn money honestly', which is only part of the picture. Every knows the quote of Guru Nanak Dev Ji: "Truth is the highest virtue, highest still is truthful living". In Sidh Gosht, Guru Nanak Dev Ji also explains that 'Truth (God) loves (is drawn to) the Truthful (i.e. honest/pure hearted people)'. Truthfulness means honesty in our speech, thoughts, actions and intentions. I see that honesty is not valued among people these days. I was reading life of che guvera, right off the bat, his struggle reminded me of sant bhindranwale struggle. There is no question sant bhindranwale was sant, was higher than che guvera when it comes to spiritual avastha, but when it comes to sidhak and anakh of protesting against human rights and their people they both went through same struggle may be on a different platforms but essence of their struggle was same. Che guvera felt for its people who were prosecuted by evil regime so did sant bhindranwale. Che guvera was socialist (equal rights for everyone) so was sant bhindranwale. reason i m posting this thread so i can get opnion/thoughts from sikhsangat on this topi…

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
