Message from TURBANOLOGY, please forward to other forums and esp school teacher. H. Dear all, After months of work, the TURBANOLOGY DVD is now available for public and private bodies to license as an educational toolkit. The first body to be doing this is British Transport Police - who will be using the DVD to train recruit officers on awareness and sensitivies re the turban. It's a big thing for us and for our community as it means the programme will make a positive impact on the awareness of the Turban amongst law enforcers in the UK. We are now working on expanding our licensing of the DVD to school teachers - this is where the biggest impact can be made to ensur…

WHAT IS TURBANS AND TRUST? What we do is pretty simple. We tie turbans...for free! Turbans and Trust is a new initiative started by a couple of people around Australia. It was started in 2012 to give people an opportunity to learn a little bit about the significance of a turban and to then to use it as a vehicle to open up a conversation about people, faith, difference and community. While the turban is a mandatory article of faith for a practicing Sikh, it is also something held in high esteem by many others cultures. Unfortunately due to certain events in the last decade, the turban has become an item associated with a threat, by some. Sikhs, being the most prominen…

Savraj Singh gives awareness presentations about Sikhism throughout New York and New Jersey to help combat the estimated 700 hate crimes that have been committed against Sikhs since 9/11. Because of their turbans and beards and because many Americans are unfamiliar with the faith, Sikhs are sometimes incorrectly associated with terrorism. Produced by Colleen McKown

what are Sikhs views of the Turkish community in England namely in London? What is your view on their country? They seem to be really liberal democratic muslims. Don't u agree that they are better in their actions than Pakistanis? Let me know thanks

Why dont we see Turkish muslim girls marrying pakistani muslim males? After all they are the same religion yet we are more likley to see Sikh girl with muslim boy marriage. Is this because Turkish parents are better at contolling their kids and stopping them marrying out of their community? And Sikh parents are easy prey for conversions.

This has probably come up before, but just wanted to share my experience. So I have been widowed for four years now again through and still going through the loss of my wife I decided to start looking to potentially get married again, so I signed up to shadi, asaind8, asainsinglesolution and seeking. I'm not the the tallest guy in the world just below 5"7, but athletic, average looking, have a good job etc , but blimey the boxes you have to tick for even getting someone to talk to you is absurd even if the lass is in her 40s and has kids. They all want a fair skinned, non turban, 6 foot who earns over 100k when did we turn into kalay, I have been watching …

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ke fateh I was wandering what is the difference between watching TV and reading a book???? Because watching tv is just a waste of our lives, because we cant think of GOD BUT>> Reading a book (fictional)... is that not the same???? We cannot think of GOD, but yet we stop watching TV and read these fictional books!! A book usually take longer to read (couple of days)- wasting more time Where as a film is finished in about 1-2 hours I dont think theres any problem with watching Tv or reading books as long as u dont waste lots of time on it Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ke Fateh
