Here's the post from tapoban.org forum .. : (Pretty interesting ) Just wanted to inform the Sangat that Yudh UK went well, alot of good gatka, a few Nangs turned up and 2 got BEATEN UP OUTSIDE! so the brave Akali Nang Singh Fauj had to call the police down, police looked pretty interested in the gatka too, lol, and then what do you know, "Nidooo" Nang man himself turns up, too scared to go inside and challenge Teji (Uptej Singh East London) to a lil "Hadh Torhh" but just stood about to attract attention. To begin with, these Nangs had a bit of a badman image associated with them. But now everyone knows their just jokers, there were a few Nangs watching the tournament…

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! The order of the yugs was Satyug, Tretayug and Dwaparyug (now in kalyug)but getting to the question my parents told me once they read somewhere that dwaparyug was meant to come before tretayug but they can't remember the story telling why does anyone have any info on this? :T:

The old Punjabi doesn’t have the letter Z it is derived from Farsi. The new modern Punjabi does have Z. Is is Okay to use it in Gurbani.

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
