Ramaninder K Bhatia, TNN 17 September 2009, 02:40am IST CHHAPAR CHIRI (Mohali): The most significant slice of Sikh history, the battleground where the Khalsa avenged the killing of the two younger sons of the 10th Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh, may soon be lost to a swank golf range if the recently approved master plan of Mohali is executed. Barely 20 km away from Chandigarh, off Kharar-Landran road, lies Chhappar-Chiri village — once known for its plentiful ponds and mangroves on the banks of Patiala Ki Rao — where in 1710, the brave Banda Singh, anointed general of the Khalsa army by Guru Gobind Singh and sent to stop the tyranny of Mughals, defeated the army of Wazi…

JUS Punjabi TV aired Mudda programme today. The hosts were Mr Riar, Gurcharanjit singh Lamba and Mr Bhamra. Ragi darshan singh was on the phone to give clarification for his blasphmeous remarks against Guru gobind singh ji.There were also 15 to 20 of his supporters inside Studio who were allowed as a courtesy. Ragi darshan singh could not show the verses being form dasam Granth that he had quoted in his lectures at various Gurudwaras. He was repeatedly asked by Mr Riar and Mr Lamba to point the lines in dasam Granth that Guru Gobind singh had gone to a prostitute. Failing to do so his supporters felt humbled and started abusing Mr Lamba in the studio itself while the pro…

Fateh parwaan karro jiyo, I happened to attend a Kirtan to celebratebirhtday if a child and marriage anniversary of the child’s grandparent’s. TheKirtan was held in a Park opposite this family’s house. I noticed some nonSikhs did not cover their heads. And after Parhsad was distributed it seemed asif many just forgot that they were in the presence of Guruji. Some got up andwere meeting and greeting each other with their back’s to Guruji. And soon just5 people left in the Pandal. I know the Granthi Ji who had come from Sector 34Gurudwara and I asked him if the vehicle that the Gurudwara uses fortransporting Guruji had come and he relied in the negative. Sukhaasan was d…

The photo shows Punjabi ladies doing bhangra/giddha with a caption to the photo clearly stating "Worshippers at Sikh Temple the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Gravesend celebrated Diwali" Are these ladies doing bhangra/giddha on the Gurudwara property? Can anyone confirm whether this is true? http://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/4694564.NORTH_KENT__Schoolchildren_and_worshippers_celebrate_festivals_of_light/

Following on from last year's success, we at SeeQ are hosting the annual charity football tournament. Last year we had over 100 teams from all over UK playing in 3 categories: Under 12's, Under 16's and Open age. We also had a number of key speakers from various fields, speaking about football, other sports and the communities. We were able to provide a Free lunch accompanied by free snacks & drinks. Various other activities were provided by Wolves football club. By working together via promotion of the event both prior to and on the day, we can make this year another success story and provide financial support to a charity in need. A one sided show with a selected audience all extreme lefties not even any middle of the roaders let alone bnp voters. This was just a witch hunt. Did you see those white protesters outside, why don’t they go and live in Alum Rock, Small Heath for a week and see how the very people they are standing up for treat them?

Ragi Darshan singh has a new passion these days. He goes around to different gurudwaras in USA Instead of doing kirtan iwhich is his job he delivers sermons on Dasam Granth by fabricating his own stories most of which are not found in dasam granth. On one of his visits to a gurudwara sahib in Rouchester , New York in Sept 2009 he lectured that there is a charitra in Dasam granth that says that Guru gobind singh went to a prostitute. Guru sahib refused to have physical relation with prostitute fearing that the offspring out of this union will be called a Bharua ( <banned word filter activated>) . The fact is that there is no such writing in Dasam granth sahib.Char…
