I want to start praying but im confused ... I know the ideal prayers you should do daily are 'japji sahib', 'rehrass sahib' and 'kirtan sohila'. When I wake up im tired, its too cold to change yet alone have a shower.. so how do I do japji sahib? * I wash when I come back home, and that's when I do rehrass but im not constant with it.. kirtan sohila I don't do I wanna do all three but like is it ideal you wash? and I am a meat eater, sometimes I eat meat sometimes I don't? what do I do if I ate meat on that day? PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME HOW'D YOU FIX UR LIFE ROUND ROUTINE WITHIN SIKHI. im a teenager.

I am a Singh in Canada Born, who has gotten the opportunity to live in UK for next couple years. I am just wondering a little bit more of life there. I hate the big I am aura that young amrithatis try to create. They seem to think that they are in some elite club and that no1 else is worthy. What they don't realise is that they are pushing most of the younger sangat away from Sikhi as they feel that these stuck up hypocritical people are not the kind that they wanna hang out with. This is a really bad situation as if they were true gursikhs they would be overcome by so much humility that this would not be the case. I have lives in canada and am now in the uk and it is rife amount our community. We are writing the foundations for our own failure.

I am not an Amritdhari Sikh however I really want to become one someday. I dont do anything bad like drinking, smoking, stealing. I try to avoid the opposite sex. got good sangat at gurdwara, knew them for over 10 years but parents suddenly stopped us going reason is known.. it is my behavior, apparently its bad, but i dont think so, i helpat home,,, dont talk back etc... and my school friends at school are all muslim, no sangat at the moment haven't been gurdwara in 2 months still reading as much bani as possible teen need my sangat back, but how?

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
