Hello,, satsriakal, i found this forum looking for sikh things on google. Im very happy to see somethign like this for young sikhs. Let me explain abit about me, I am alot younger than most members here. I have loved sikhi from a young age , i keep kesh and i love reading many books to learn as much as i can. I really love our heritage. Now my problem: Im generally very quite at my school i have only a few friends, but im happy with that because i dont want to keep bad sangat. I would love to be in company of gursikhs, thats why i go to many sikh youth groups and camps etc. but nones ever really taken any notice of me. I try to be as friendly as possibe,i don…

Psy-ops By Pseudo Sikh

All, I wish to inform you all not to be carried away by the propaganda unleashed by the Indians. Here is one such guy who claims to be a sikh and writing utter rubbish. Somebody needs to counter this propaganda. http://o3.indiatimes.com/mrsingh/archive/2005/09/06.aspx This pseudo sikh even goes on to claim that the Granth sahib ji does not include anything by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I dont believe this. He even claims that Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji was accompanied on his funeral pyre by four of his wives and seven maids and concubines. Whats more, this propagandist even says that Guru Gobind Singh Ji did not speak Punjabi. Some body need to teach these guys that sikhi…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Hi, I'm writing here to get the sangat's opinion on a certain matter that's been troubling me a lot and it's affecting my studies and everything. So there's a Sant Ji who is close to my family and we've known him for a long time..probably for around 15 years because my parents and I took amrit from him. I have always respected him to the max and I still respect him now and will continue to in the future. He's really done a lot for sikhi and is well known everywhere. I know he's a Sant and the real deal and when I say that I mean I've seen him do things no ordinary man would even dream of in the spiritual sense and obviously …

I know Sikhi does not condone violence unless the actions are just, but what are the parameters for this? Is it justified to kill a man who abuses and mistreats his wife? What if the police, despite being involved, take no action? Is it justified to kill a criminal who repeatedly escapes justice, either through loopholes in the law, or is just too slippery for the police to catch? Is it justified to kill a drug dealer to prevent them from carrying out their criminal actions? Is it justified to kill a paedophile who, despite having served a sentence, continues to abuse children? Is it justified to kill someone to ensure the safety of your family, even though there is …

Death

Hello everyone. I was having this thought for a long time. With new medical breakthroughs happening what if we found cure for aging and subsequently prevent death. Then what would happen to all religions. We humans usually follow religion because we are scared of death and the after life.

A Weird Experience
by Guest gupt singh- 3 replies

I would like the sangats opinions on an experience that I encountered. Whilst I (aged 13-16) was in secondary school I had made two friends - Mehadi and Feyza. Mehadi and Feyza were brother and sister who had escaped the Kosovan / Yugoslavian war. Mehadi was in my year group, Feyza was a year below. There spoken English was very limited. They had no family (at all) in the UK and were living in care homes. They would try their best in their studies but were severely restricted due to their language issues. For some reason, I would feel sorry for them and help them out with school work whenever I could. After school, we went our separate ways and we had eventually lost co…

What does a sikh guy do if hes in a marriage where his wife wont sleep with him. Its been a few years but then 9 months since the last time. We live like house mates, seperate bedrooms, absolutley no intimacy whatsoever. There is absolutley no family support. Theres just two of us in our home. Shes happy to live like this and i feel enjoys making me suffer and wont divorce as shes scared of her family and has no where to go. So basically its how its gna be. Its never going to be same in future as I know what its done to me these last few years. Any guy might of went elsewhere but ive kept sikhi intact. but what the hell does a person do? It affects self esteem, and …
