Good read. — The Coddling of American Children Is a Boon to Beijing In China, my son had to study hard. Here in the U.S., he just needs to bring a ‘healthy snack’ to school. As a Chinese doctoral student raising a young son in the U.S., I am mystified by how American elementary schools coddle students. In China, schools are run like boot camps. Hattie had recently finished two years of elementary school in Chengdu, China, where he trotted off to school each day wi…

Now, if they go ahead with it and by all means they should they will fulfill the hukam where the hukam has been interfered with and changed... But thas the problem! Hukam has been interfered with and changed but as it was seen, it was done which is FOR the hukam. Now, if this BrahmGiani went ahead and changes the future as it should have been where Hukam is NOT changed then thas another problem! But hukam has not been changed was also not part of the deal so changing the hukam where Akaal Pu…

What are the Sangat's thoughts on having servant/maid/paid help in their household? A bit random, but many of you who have visited India and other countries will be aware that it's quite common for those who are well off to have servant who does many household chores/work like cooking, cleaning etc. Some families have a chauffeur also These jobs can be well paid compared to what they might make doing something else, but would be nothing compared to wages in many Western countries. I personally if I could afford, would have a chef. But only if I really trusted them (an Amritdhari Singh or Kaur maybe). Overall however, I don't like the idea, because you…
