  1. Badal is doing paap after paap. Now is is making it officially known that he is in bed with the murderers of the Sikhs. Everytime they are out of power they come to power with false promises that they will punish cops who killed Sikhs. Once they come to power they protect and give power to those very war criminals.

  2. im from the inner city and these were 2 of the things bringing me closer to sikhi i cut my hair, drink, eat meat and all that sikh unit and lion heartz talked about real issues and stuff you can relate to and understand from that i discovered tigerstyle and immortal productions, decided to research into the history of sikhism and learned more myself my parents arent that religious but i was brought up going to gurdwara on a sunday once in a while and thats about it, and i slowly drifted away from as i got older, after the age of 14 or 15 i went twice a year maybe at most and that was a 2 minute in and out thing this is changing now as i get more and more into sikhi my school was mostly full of muslims and most of the sikhs got terrorised every day, even at age 14 15, how do you learn to deal with stuff like that when your parents are "papus", all the muslims know exactly what they are doing, they get trained hard at home while our kids are busy at punjabi school learning the alphabet same with the young girls, what are they taught by there parents about the environment that they are walkin into apart from "dont talk to any boys" and tell us if anyone is bothering you so we can run to the teachers and complain, can you blaim them for getting involved with muslims who know exactly what they are doing i only just found this website when looking into what happend in leicster and Hammertime007 seems to the be only one talkin sense in the other post who is here for this next generation of kids, the same <banned word filter activated> is going to happen to them, there not any more prepared for it, sikh unit and lion heartz were good at raising awareness and getting through to people like myself and many others the bros will always be doing what they are doing, there going nowhere, too many singhs thinking because they met 1 musllim in uni who is nice and friendly that they are all like that, if youve never gone through what some of us have, you will never understand

  3. A Message from the daughter of Shaheed Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra to Sikh Youth Vaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! Today marks the 18th anniversary of disappearance of my father, S. Jaswant Singh Khalra. It was on this day that my father was illegally abducted from our home in Amritsar and was later murdered on the orders of State Government and KPS Gill. Jaswant Singh Khalra truly lived a life of the “lamp that challenged the darkness” of injustice, state oppression and impunity. Ever since his martyrdom, S. Khalra’s work has motivated many to stand up against oppression and join the struggle for justice and freedom. During his visits to Canada, UK and Austria, he urged the community to follow the path of GurSikhi to honor the Khalsa spirit and ultimately become the defenders of Human Rights. He wanted all of us to continue the struggle to justice and end impunity by joining with like-minded people against oppressors and tyrant Governments worldwide. For the past 18 years, the Khalra family and Khalra Mission Organization (KMO) have received tremendous moral support from the Sikh Sangat in Punjab and in the diaspora. It is encouraging to see youth organizations like The SIkh Activist Network (SAN) who have continued to engage the next generation to agitate and educate fellow Canadians about our issues and recognizing our Shaheeds. However the story of thousands of innocent Sikh men and women who were murdered mercilessly still needs to be shared in the larger ‘Lok Kachehri’ (people’s court). With Vaheguroo’s bakhsish and support of the Sikh Sangat,we all remain committed to keep this movement alive. Today is the day to reflect upon how we should honor the legacy of Jaswant Singh Khalra! The people of Punjab and parents of thousands of victims of State Oppression had once asked Jaswant Singh Khalra about the fate of their beloved children. Their question still echoes and the future generations will soon ask us about the role we have played in this ongoing struggle for human rights. Although S. Jaswant Singh Khalsa is not with us today, his legacy continues not just in Punjab, but in all corners of the world where people are standing firm to end oppression and tyranny. At the end, I would request everyone to keep the lamp of justice lit so the future generations can breathe justice and peace. “Mukti de parvaaneo Shamma jagdi rakheyo!” (O passengers of liberation, keep the lamp ignited). Sincerely, Navkiran Kaur Khalra

  4. Today Marks one of the most Shocking cases of the disappeared Sikhs of Panjab. Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra Sikh Human Rights Activist The Person investigating the cases becomes a victim of the Panjab Police. Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra : A Human Rights Activist, A Sevadar and Becon of Light for the Disappeared. who had challenged the darkness by exposing the Indian government, in how the innocent Sikh youth in India were being killed. Bhai Sahib attained shaheedi on 6th September 1995. to read about Bhai Sahib's findings, jeevan and an interview with Bhai Sahib's singhni, please go to the link below: Jaswant Singh Khalra's grandfather Harnam Singh was an activist in the Ghadar movement for the independence of India. Jaswant Singh is survived by his wife, Paramjit Kaur Khalra and two children. 18 years ago Sardar Jaswant Singh Kalra Ji was washing his car outside his home in Punjab when a police jeep under orders from K P S Gill pulled up and abducted him. Jaswant Singh Kalra was never seen again! He was tortured and murder, his body was disposed of by the police. His crime was that he spoke the truth. By going to the cremation grounds and looking at the records of those that supplied wood to be used for cremations he was able to prove that Punjab police was abducting thousands of young Sikhs and killing then cremating them. Jaswant Singh Kalra was speaking out and being listened to across the globe and this was dangerous for the authorities so they had him murdered. Six police officers have been tried to date, five are serving life sentences and one has been acquitted. They all say they were acting under direct orders from K P S Gill. This butcher needs to be brought to book. Will this happen? I doubt it, he has so much protection from central government that it is rumoured that he lives in a place so secret that the average public are kept 50 kilometres away!! Bhai Sahibs Speech to Canadian parliament - MUST WATCH A TRUE HERO AND A TRUE SIKH, BHAI JASWANT SINGH KHALRA WE SALUTE YOU ! and we hope to have even a ounce of the anakh and bahaduri that you had for more info see here http://www.1984tribute.com/Jhujaroo-Jeevani.php?id=126 and please leave your comments and tributes in this post, so that we can remember such heroes and teach our children about them.

  5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh The Sikh Federation (UK) will be holding its annual Convention on Sunday 21st September 2014 at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Sedgley Street, Wolverhampton. It will be the last annual Convention before the General Election next year and we aim to raise a number of significant issues related to the Sikh community. The Sikh Federation (UK) is now officially recognised by the UK Government as one of the four main umbrella Sikh organisations in the UK. However, it is the only umbrella Sikh organisation that has remained true to its founding principles established 30 years ago in 1984 and has the stated aim of arguing the case for the Sikhs right to self-determination and lobbying for the establishment of an independent sovereign Sikh State. Mainstream media coverage of Sikh Federation (UK) campaigning this year has been unprecedented and combined with the unrivaled grassroots support provided by the Sikh community many in positions of responsibility in the UK and in other countries acknowledge and understand the increasing influence of the Sikh Federation (UK) in a diverse range of subjects. 2014 has been a remarkable year that started with revelations about UK Government direct involvement in the Sikh Genocide in June 1984. The Sikh Federation (UK) has led the way in challenging the current UK Government, taking the issue of the 1984 Sikh Genocide to the European Parliament and the United Nations and will be announcing the next steps in the campaign for Truth, Justice and Freedom. The mainstream media is expected to cover the Convention and several key announcements will be made. This will include plans to encourage much wider participation by youngsters and professionals from the Sikh community in activities led by the Sikh Federation (UK) that could be a defining moment for the political awakening of future generations of the Sikh community. The poster for the event is attached and on the Sikh Federation (UK) Facebook page. We encourage you to ensure A3 colour copies of this poster are displayed on noticeboards at your local Gurdwara and A4 colour or black and white versions are distributed to the Sangat. Please free to share this message with others. We would be delighted if you could attend and be part of what promises to be a historic event. Thank you for your continued support. 6. WarrierSingh UK: Visit the Sikh Federation (UK) web site www.sikhfeduk.com to better appreciate what the organisation has achieved since it was set up in September 2003. The Sikh Federation (UK) is the only Panthic Sikh organisation that has published an annual highlights booklet detailing its work and achievements over the last decade (see web site). Name one other Sikh organisation in the UK providing this level of transparency and provide links to its annual reports. As an alternative look at the attached summary produced last year on the 10th anniversary. Rather than waste your time and effort on personal attacks on leading figures in the Sikh Federation (UK) without any evidence other than shameless rumours you should concentrate on positive support of other Sikh organisations you believe are doing better work and are more transparent and true to their stated objectives. 10. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH For the Sangat - all of Gurbani that follows the Ik is devoted to Ik - to explain, to expand and to guide on the Ik. The entire of Gurbani rotates around Ik. To Balbir "Singh" - so, which are you? Radhasoami, Nirankari, RSS? How much do you get paid to post nonsense on forums to confuse Sikhs or are you truly mentally unstable? Don't worry, you won't blow your cover - any person who has been on this forum for any time knows that your sole purpose here is with anti-Sikh intentions.

  11. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH First find out WHY you are falling. Is it that you are doing Sangat for a week and then not and find yourself falling when not in Sangat? Are you getting bored in Sangat and find your mind wandering? Are you enjoying the Sangat but not engaging in Sangat (what do you mean you do Sangat? Hang out or do Simran/Paath/Seva/Keertan)? The mind and body need to be engaged in the activities directly of the Sangat and not just be witnesses to it and get a good feeling by proxy. Sangat is a boosting effect and there are only two choices - either you have to find a way to be in Sangat continuously OR take what you learn from the Sangat and apply to your personal jeevan when you are not in Sangat. Personal Kamai is very important. Sangat teaches, inspires, uplifts and guides, but you must self-improve and move yourself forward through your own efforts. Otherwise, you really must immerse yourself in a situation where you are in Sangat almost every minute of the day. Gurbani tells each devotee to search the inner self, to do introspection and come to the true realization of who you truly are and abandon the duality veil of the ego. This is the objective. Nobody said it would be easy - Khaneo Tikhi, Valeo Nikki implies exactly that. Sikhi is simpler than other faiths, but that does not imply a walk in the park. Gursikhs beg and plead Guru Sahib every single day for Amritvela/Simran/Gurbani/Seva - and I mean plead (some with shaky voices and tears in their eyes). The Almighty made you and knows you better than you know yourself. Your job as a Sikh is to do Ardaas and give 110% every day - the Almighty's mauj is to bless you with Gurprasad when it is deemed appropriate. Why the game? You and I don't get to ask that question - it IS the game and it exists, you have to play it - Hukam Na Kehiya Jai. This is not a one shot deal - as you said, individuals come into this world with the good and bad karams and kamai of many lifetimes with them. There are obstacles and/or advantages built into every individual based on this past. Some excel and leave others wondering why - they come with kamai and blessings from previous births. Others struggle throughout their life to make small strides. Again, the Almighty knows all - like a parent, the Almighty sees the efforts, the commitment, the intent - those things count as well. Undeserving of the Almighty's love? That is not your choice. In fact, you have very little choice BUT to continue your Sikhi. You are Amritdhari - a Sant Siphai is your destination. You have sold YOUR HEAD to the Guru and you are NOT ENTITLED to choice. Feel whatever you want, but the Rehat given to you by the Punj Pyare is law and you will comply or face the consequences. Feel whatever you want and have that conversation with the Almighty - that is what Ardaas is for. It doesn't have to be a formal Ardaas, sit inside and talk to the Almighty - tell the Almighty what you feel, that you are trying and what you want. Everything you are going through, every hardship, every roadblock, is shaping you as an individual for the coming time. There are reasons for these adversities and roadblocks that will be of use to you in the future. Accepting this is VERY difficult and those who accept the Hukam of the Almighty with unconditional resolve are at a very high spiritual level. So yes, many Sikhs on the path are of similar feeling - they get down, they get frustrated. But you get up every single day and fight. Kaam Krodh Nagar Meh Sabla, NIT UTH UTH JOOJH KARIJAI. It is the job of every Sikh to get up and fight the Punj Vikaars every day. War is not 100% victory - it is battle after battle after battle until the enemy is crushed or surrenders. There will be losses in battle, but keep the war victory as your objective. Do a benti to the Gursikhs to do Ardaas for you and advise you. Do Ardaas for yourself every day. Do as much Sangat as possible. Gurbani is your guide, Simran is your duty and Seva can keep the body busy and tired enough that you don't have time to do anything else.

  13. WJKK WJKF, I presume that is how the carcass of animals would have been used previous times. Now with industrialisation it is unlikely. In my opinion it would probably be better to be as ethical as we can, but sometimes it is not possible. Maybe try to use synthetics where possible, but that is another topic. This is regarding animal consumption. Gurbani mentions the use of dairy products, but I can't find a shabad telling us to consume animals. Please can someone provide such a shabad.

  14. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH What "sukh" are you looking for? "Dukh Vich Sookh Manai" is what Gurbani teaches - to be content even when sadness is around. Guru Sahib's life is a reference point of the absolute ideal in Gursikhi. Sarbans Dani Sahib-E-Kamal Dasam Patshah gave up EVERYTHING and still remained in Chardi-Kalaa. His Sikhs were the same as him - no food, no shelter, living on horseback and relished every minute of Simran and Gurbani. Do Ardaas for whatever you need - the Almighty is the giver of all. But understand that Sikhi teaches that only Naam/Bani will take to the Almighty and make you One. Within that is true happiness. All else fades and does not last. Gurbani is not a path of do this = profit. It is a path of remembering the Almighty through Simran, inner contemplation, self realization and progress based on the Guru's instructions/Hukam that is Gurbani. If you progress on the path of Gurbani, happiness will be present regardless of the worldly condition and your station in life. It is not of coincidence that Shaheedan Di Sirtaj - Sahib Sri Guru Arjun Dev Sahib Ji - recited "Tera Kia Meetha Laagae" while being tortured - despite the extremely brutal tortures and conditions his body was subjected to, his very essence was joined to the Almighty to where they were One - was still in a Divine bliss. Such was the state of many of the Chardi-Kalaa Shaheed Sikhs, of olden and new history, that took upon themselves exrteme torture and yet still remained enraptured in the Almighty's rememberance. You have only to look at Shaheed Bhai Anokh Singh Babbar's Shaheedi to see the avastha of "Dukh Vich Sookh Manai" - tortures that leave a reader trembling by merely reading, this Gursikh was able to face uttering Vaheguru and still thanked the Almighty for the days and nights of happiness.

  18. Movies like Sadda Haq and Kaum De Heere getting banned will do the opposite, and exactly what the Indians DON'T want. You ban a movie, it only gives it more publicity. If they were as wise and sane as they think they are, they would have allowed it. But they didn't and committed a grave blunder. Now the youth will be more than interested and curious to watch them, and once they do, they will turn out to be eye-openers. Sikhs should fund, produce and direct more and more such movies that expose the truth and disrobe the lies propagated by the Hindustani media. Always remember Singho, when the Khalsa had its own Raaj, even French Generals like Ventura who were once with Napoleon came to server under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Today we don't, and so we are moving out of the same Punjab to foreign countries. If we began to calculate the quantity of water that has been snatched from Punjab and given to the other Indian states neighboring Punjab, the amount they owe Punjab is, and I kid you not, an easy 10-digit figure! Now just imagine if we had all that money, had our own Raaj, we wouldn't need to go abroad to any country, and if we had a Gurmukh leader like Sant Jee to lead us, we would have long back in fact put all these newly born booming economies to shame long ago by now! Don't listen to anyone who tells you that Sikhi is only about nimarta/humility. Of course it is, humility is an essential aspect of Sikhi. But what is humility? How exactly do you define it? Humility is NOT me wearing a white kurta pajama and folding my hands with a smile on my face calling out veerji/bhenji to anyone coming to the Gurdwara Sahib. Humility is when I am laced with weapons, and have a million troops walking behind me, all laced with weapons, and a poor unarmed man comes before me in distress, and STILL I fold my hands and say with a smile in all humility "Veerji, how can we help you?" THAT is the humility of the Khalsa. First become sovereign and powerful, then we can be as humble as the dust of anyone's feet. Until then, any so-called humility is nothing but another shade of slavery.

  19. Winds of change my friend. Every 50 to 60 years around the world a wind of change blows. The wind is blowing and India is stupid if it thinks it can ignore it, for it is an unstoppable wind. Lets talk about Scotland for one moment, and remember, India - although it likes to call itself a 'democracy' - arrests, imprisons and tortures under achaic sedition laws anyone that even dares mention a separate homeland. In Scotland some people - not all, just some - articulated a desire to break up the UK and become an independant country. Now compare the UK response to the India response. See how a country needs to have democratic values before it can be termed a democracy. The UK government response was to engage the separatists in debate and also provide the separatists with free TV airtime during elections so that the debate can be held on an equal footing. After debate, the UK government have announced that a referendum will be held in Scotland this year asking all Scottish people this simple question : 'Do you wish to have your own independant country?'. The UK government wish them to say 'no' but have stated they will respect the wishes of the people. If the people vote 'yes' than the government is prepared to break up the UK and let the Scots go their own way. Now these, are the values of a democracy. Once Scotland goes, the Catalans around Barcelona will soon break away from Spain, the Basques in northern Spain and southern France will follow suit, Belgium will then cease to exist as the government in Paris is already in negotiation with the french speaking half of Belgium about incorporating it into France, and Quebec will follow too. That kind of wind is unstopable. A free Punjab is coming whether or not the Indians like it. It is for this reason we western Sikhs should concentrate on not only educating but also winning the hearts and minds of the Sikhs in Punjab. They have lost their way but its not their fault. They have not been allowed to know anything about the truth. Thats our job to teach them and show them. Enough of arguing with India. You can't reason with unreasonable people. Lets concentrate on getting our own people ready for the wind of change.

Sikhs are reactive while all the enemies of sikhs are proactive, thsi is the main reason we are losing in many angles, we have no unity, jathas , amritdharis and non amritdhairs dont get along, to many splinetrs to be strong - all the best from the Sikh Unit family -
