thats not the answer. most large sikh communities in UK cities have a punjabi school teaching Sikhi stuff. However if parents aren't interested in sending the children there whats the point? additionally if you open a little taksal to teach children paath and they go home to their father drinking bicardi watching the footy with his mates and mum cooking meat watching bollywood dancing, children are understandably more likely to think their family culture is correct rather than the contradicting stuff they are being taught in a taksal. There is a much deeper rooted difference between the two religions/cultures than what your solution can provide, it may however be part of a larger campaign to tackle the situation.

It is damaging to the panth what these people. They make people loose faith in Sikhs by their actions, and push some Sikhs into cynism by cheating them using the name of Sikhism. If anyone is making money, conning or cheating people out of wealth using dirty tactics and using name of Sikhism then Sangat should not allow this. The counter arguement to this would be our politicians are doing this all the time yet we allow them!

Following the arguements people are making in saying steroids are bad..then following the same arguements (bodybuilding is ego, not useful in combat,etc) leads one to conclude other dietary elements used by body builders are bad..eg nitric oxide, creatine, L arginine, glutamate, etc, etc, etc......some of these are in food, others are not. is the conclusion body building as a sport is not sikhi related?
