Firstly all Sikhs must understand that there is good in other religions as Sri Ramchandar, Sri Krishan Bhagwan were avtars sent for a mission. They did many good things and mere mortals like myself have not jeevan or kamaee if front of them. However, they did have short comings (ghatta) and they were not perfect! Only our Guru Sahibs are perfect and without any short comings - no Avtars can be compared with Guru Nanak Dev Jee because he is SatGuru. So lets study all religions and take the good from them but don't ever make the mistake of placing other faiths on the same level as Sikhi!

According to the Hindu Caste System hierachy a jatt is also a low caste. Good job Sikhi rejects the caste System. I've got a frind in UK that is of "chura" background and he is marrying a "jatt" girl...both are amritdhari and i don't see anyone making any noise at all - we're all really happy! Caste is not a problem, nor is colour. Personally, i don't really care who marries who, provided this inter-religion marriage doean't take place in a Gurdwara. A Sikh marrying a Hindu (Muslim etc) in a Gurdwara is unacceptable and should never be allowed to take place unless they other embraces Sikhi.

i had one Singh telling me that he felt that a disabled person must have done something wrong in their past life and is therefore not worthy of sitting in the Sangat of Guru Jee....Vaheguroo I suppose Guru Nanak Dev Jee visiting people with leprosy and helping sure their disease is just a myth...fore they surely don't deserve mukhti?!? I just wonder what Bhagat Puran Singh would think of these comments from Sikhs today?

What use is there is just talking about him on this forum? He is constantly on Sikh TV 848 in UK - why not put a stop to his koorh (anti-Sikh) parchaar by contacting Sikh TV! Or are we just going to keep talking?!?

Every problem has a solution...are we just going to keep talking or are we going to do something? Its about time we dealt with the cause and not just focus on the symptoms of this problem. This is what a Singhni said to me "Our sisters are either able to embrace the love of maharaj from the spiritual up-liftment of a Sikh brother who showers her with respect or she can find that love in the arms of a muslim, a gora or any other random guy who will use her, break her faith and make her dependant." Be part of the solution...show the respect our sisters ever so much need. Each camp, whether BOSS/Khalsa Camp or local kids camps should have a portion solely dedicated to role Sikh women have played and continue to paly in the panth - lets uplift our sisters. We can't change the past, but we can ensure we don't lose another generation! Once our sisters have built a true connection and love for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, no man will ever be able to break her faith! Don't force Rehit or maryada on her...just facilitate her in her building that love for Guru Jee...Rehit will automatically follow! Then just watch the chardikala of the panth...the key to the chardikala of the panth lies solely with our sisters. Guys, lets realise that we too have some responsibility! For me, all our issues are a result of one thing...we do not have any connection with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee.

Ask any Nihang Singh from the Dal Panth and i can guarantee you that they all praise Sant Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale for his entire Katha of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. The level of detail and gyan in the katha can't be compared with any other audio katha available today. Your example of the mouse and elephant is what is referred to as the antreev arth...and that's what Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee has done throughout all his katha...in so much detail that one gets is just left amazed and all one can say is Vaheguroo. But even Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee does kandan of Tri-murti that they are NOT mukhat and are themselves suffereing and bound by karam...Tri-Murti are NOT God. Knowledge of Gurmat comes under 2 categories - Vidvita & Giaan. Vidvita is scholarly knowledge, those people that have studied history and many granths are vidvaans. Giaan on the other hand is when one who has studied all scriptures but has applied that scholarly knowledge into their lives. The people you refer to are scholars, they are respect worthy for their study but they are JUST scholars - i would rather listen to a Gian Vaan like Sant gurbachan Singh, who actually lived Sikhi, rather than the scholars who just talk and research but may not necessarily live Sikhi. When you can show me someone who disagree's with Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee and has a greater jeevan & more kamaee than them, then i'll believe them instead...until then, I'd rather beleive them over you!

Mods, sooooo many youths are being misguided by these lies & mistruths...i mean way tooo many - a non-kesadhari Sikh turned up to read my friends house elec/gas meter and spent 20mins trying to convince my friend that sikhs are Hindu's...clearly his claims were baseless...but when asked where was he getting this from...he said Niddar. To be honest, Punjab5 raised some very valid points. I too don't understand the need to remove his post?!? Any jathebandi that proclaims to be a panthis jathebandi is open to scrutiny from the panth...IPD should be no acception.

I've just been on facebook and seen more screen shots..including Upinder blaming Sant Jarnail Singh for the attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib in 1984. People like upinder have such slave like mentality that they blame the sikhs for the murder of innocent Sikhs by India...and people like these are allowed to be the face of our channels?!? Get him off our screens...that is unless Sangat TV agree's with Upinders views????

I think you may have a point...we've got to keep an eye of the type of people allowed on air...thus far, the people on Sikh Channel generally have been panthic and i too have a feeling this may change with the London studio opening, unless monitored by the Sangat....as ultimately, it is the Panth's Channel.

This is exactly the kind of thing are youth need to get into...if one doesn't have the ability to write, then we should at least support such writers and purchase the book so that more are encourage that if ou write about things affecting Sikhs, you will be supported by the Sikh Nation. If what you say is true, then why didn't Guru Nanak Dev Jee tell Bhai Lehna, you worship the devee just keep on being a good hindu as you were born one? Why didn't Guru Nanak Dev Jee tell Baba buddha Jee to remain a Hindu as he was born a Hindu? Why didn't Guru Angad Dev Jee tell Guru Amar Das jee that he should remained a hindu, as he had been so for 60yrs now and was born a Hindu? Why did the Brahman that said how can Guru Harkrishan Sahib Jee be a Guru at the age of 5 become a Sikh? Why didn't Guru HarKrishan tell the Brahman to just be a good Hindu? Please remember it was this Braham's (who became a Sikh) son that went onto be one of first the Panj Pyare. Surely Bhagat Puran Singh (born a Hindu), Shaheed Bhai Laxman Singh Babbar (born a Muslim), Shaheed Bhai Mohar singh (born a Hindu) and his whole family, should just have remained what they were born as...as surely if god wanted them to be Sikhs, they would have been born Sikhs?!? Bro, if your logic was applied then there would be no Sikhs at all today as they all either converted from Hinduism or Islam and should have just remained what they were. Sikhs shouldn't remain sikhs because they were born into a sikh family but because Sikhi is nothing but Sach (unadulterated truth). In the same way if someone that's not Sikhs wished to come into Sikhi (Truth)...then they should be embraced.
