  1. I'd flip whats being said. How do people describe going to gurdwara? Going for darshan of Maharaj etc. Then compare that with the attitude people would have if they were going to see the 'queen', a political leader...their company boss.. lots of chumchas if invited to Buckingham palace would dress up in their finest and abide by 'house rules'..yet when it comes to seeing our real king...it's another story. When Maharaj are talking (hukumnamas being read etc...the sangat is chatting etc). Would they do that if the queen was there talking to a group? Nah..they'd go full chumcha and nod with interest. Personally, I think it comes down to education do you see the SGGS as a 'book' or a living embodiment of our Guru ji?
  2. Personally I think Modi did gave up the Indian agri industry to the globalist groups in order to survive a few more months/years. With the likes of trump going , other 'nationalist' leaders are now in the scopes of those who want full globalism.
  3. I always found it strange how the kids who were 'pushed' hard to do well at school by parents and relatives from our community were the most 'mental' at uni once they escaped their parents and relatives . Personally I was never pushed , I studied as I liked it .so was quite boring at unis. But the gujjus, Punjabis and paks who would tell me stories of their upbringing were the ones who drank, did drugs , slept around etc... You should really look at the work of Dr Gabor mate ..and his work on childhood trauma and then you'll understand why our community is so messed up
  4. Check out these two videos...does this sound familiar, to what jamdhoots etc do? 30mins+ on the video below The DMT and similar things are already in your brain and are activated are released at near death...but can also be released via meditation (or plant rituals) I find it quite interesting , especially the bit in the first video where you will experience the pain you caused others...and the inference that it is all one...we are all one..so harming another is just harming yourself. There is no escaping your actions
  5. What isn't over celebrated these days so that I looks like you have an amazing life on social media? In a way was glad the gurdwara was restricted this year so that it was about going to the gurdwara and having darshan..as opposed to watching people budge each other out of the way to light candles while sucking their faces in while doing vacuous selfies.
  6. You have to realise India is a big place with 1.3bn folks. The media and things like Bollywood are very Pervy these days, and they are all in a race to the bottom in terms of morality. Then you have the idea that being 'modern' means having western values (relationships etc)...and critically these days everyone has a smart phone and access to the internet...so for the first time millions have ready access to 'filth'. India is in trouble
  7. Dude you need help... I understand that you may be an 'adonis' but over the coming years your belly will come out, hair will come out of your nose and ears, hair will turn white, lines will form on your face, your skin will sag, your muscles (if you have any will waste away), you'll have aches and pains all over...yet you want your potential partner to go easy on the facial hair. Good luck with finding long term happiness with another person .
  8. Karma is a git. Bad/good is a perspective thing. We don't know what we got up to in the myriad of our past lives. The Jimmy saville example is a good one, his ego would have wanted a legacy where he was remembered falsely for his charity work etc (the front for his deeds)..but he has no legacy, his name is dirt and who knows the pains he'll get in the next life/lives. Just think of those rulers at the time out gurus...the deeds they ordered and committed...yet no-one remembers them, or praises them now do they? Plus they would have to make up for those in future lives. You can't escape karma, unless you transcend the cycle of birth/death. Saying people are 'innocent' etc...you don't know their past lives. Everyone thinks they don't deserve X,y,z..everyone thinks they are great and nice (the madness of ego) but are we? What did we do before and in previous lives? In a way it is a perfect system. Do you think our Gurus were forced to sit on hot plates, be beheaded and tortured? Or did they see the 'play' for what it is ..and accept it? Bhai Satpal Singh on Nanak Naam addresses this issues quite eloquently.
  9. I know as we live in the UK etc that we like to 'commemorate' the Sikhs who fought for the British. But personally I find it a bit iffy that we go on about that..while at the same time moaning about 'empire', what the Brits did to the Sikh empire etc...when in India the hero's of that time are folks like Mohan Singh , Chandra Bose who set up the Indian national army that fought against the British imperialist , with the aim of an independent india. Not all Sikhs supported the British against the Germans and japanese etc. Many enlisted for the brits because they paid well and ran India at the time..whereas the INA had recruits who joined on principle... In India those who fought for the British are not highly regarded...there are no statues for them . Read about Bose and the INA and you might be surprised
  10. If you look at most definitions of 'conspiracy'...in the realm of public office they revolve around concepts like "a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose " Now from studying politics for over 5yrs , we spend most of our time trying to work out why policy decisions were made. And you know what, its based on what we are told by the 'actors' involved (when do politicians tell the truth or not spin stuff) and studies of what happened. But guess what , there is a reason why people donate to politicians...and it's not benevolence...there is a reason why specific folks from a young age get progressed through the 'system' to get into specific jobs (they might look different but their mind and actions are of the system that produced them)...of course there is collusion, co ordination and agreements behind closed doors...but to make that open would collapse the 'system'. To the folks involved in the system it is a 'game', and they get off on you the pleb not knowing that. To say that there isn't 'agendas' is delusional. For example in most big mega businesses they have plans for 1, 3, 5, 10 and 25yrs (the long range stuff is worked on my the CEO, CFO and chairman level)...to think that governments and super national bodies like the world Bank don't have similar planning is unlikely .
  11. The modern take on left, right and central is actually very odd. At uni and college I read politics..and you could make distinctions (based on economics , social policy , foreign policy , healthcare, rights of the individual) But now you can't. Modern politics is about getting votes, so parties don't really have a consistent 'ideological' basis. They pick and choose vote blocks/ideas that they mash together to hopefully get enough votes to win, politicians go the ' ideas buffet'. The politicians don't have any firm ideals...they are about winning and will say/do whatever to win. Just look at the vid below its Cheney and rumsfeld (from the film vice). This type politics is now the norm, and this is America in the 70s and 80s It's nothing more than that, and if you control the mechanisms of the media you can shape those vote blocks (good example being Corbyn is a racist from the last election, even though he spent his life being anti racist..and Doris was portrayed as not racist, despite a history of comments and slurs) At the simplest level you can look at society as a series of 'bell curves'...most people on most issues are in the 'middle'. They may think they are individuals but when you aggregate up, most people are in the middle. (Why do you think most surveys these days don't have a a middle choice, as most people tick no.5 (out of 10) or neither disagree or agree). That's why you have folks like Cummings in the UK who are so focused on 'data'.because is you know how people think...you know what you need to say to.move them to.vote for you .
  12. Notice something about trump? No wars...look at Obama...and btw who was his vice president who went along with all the wars? So to expect a more peaceful world over the next 4yrs if biden gets in ..is quite frankly delusional. For all his faults...trump never actively killed innocent brown civilians...the other however did
  13. Having had pets... Notice how the animal gives you complete attention in the moment, for them it is natural . When humans do that too, you remember it (babies are good at it )..but when humans are interacting with you and their mind is on something else or have other intentions behind the interaction ...there is no connection. Bhai Satpal Singh of Nanak Naam puts it well in his videos, that when you are in the 'present' interacting with someone/something else that is also in the 'present' ..it is like God is talking to God...so you experience God
  14. What's the difference between us and animals and plants? Humans are the only animals that can time travel (be here in the present (rarely) or lost in thoughts of the past or future). Animals / plants only recognise the present moment (which is what sikhi and most other faiths aim for). When you connect with nature you are in the present moment like what you are observing..and hence closer to God. Eckhart tolle explains it really well in the book 'a new earth'
  15. If it represented the east end..there would be no white folks on the show... The signs would be Bengali and the queen Vic would be a gastro vegan pub or converted into a 'community welfare hub'
  16. History is littered with 'hindus' selling out Hindus ...how do you think moghals took over ? Likewise the British ...and the SGGS Is full of examples of the 'brahmins' selling out for money and Maya. It's nothing new, it's just a part of the play
  17. A new earth by Eckhart tolle. It's an amazing book, the first time I read it a few years ago I thought it was jibberish. Then a few years later picked it up again and seemed to get it...and for a while my head was quite. The nagging voice came back..but less and it subdues when I read that book. If you want to expose your 'ego' this is a great book . If you get it..that incessant voice in your head will never be the same again
  18. Come on being on the committee helps you get access to local politicians and you get sweet deals with the bank's who get the gurdwara bank accounts / give the loans for building funds. Committee members shun all this for the interests of the sangat, honest guvna
  19. One simple way to do Simran is to say 'wahe' on the in breath...and 'guru' on the out breath..(focusing on the breathing). With walking I have found a similar method with my left foot stride landing I say 'wahe' and when the right foot lands 'guru'. Whilst focusing on the mantar and the foot contact with the ground. Might be worth a try.
  20. Strange how 'psychics' never say anything truly unexpected. I.e. chill out it's all an illusion , who killed JFK, how the pyramids were built, god is X,y,z...it always fluffy stuff. Plus many psychics have been rumbled for their tricks. Watch/read darren brown stuff, the people who have caught well known psychics sending their minions amongst the audience before shows to get their back stories / over hearing conversations. I don't doubt there are other realms...but too many people who profess such things are 'dodgy' to say the least
  21. Personally, I think Khalistan would be better if it was established outside of the Panjab. Look at Amish in America they have created their own communities based on their principles. If we had small scale communities that ran on Sikhi principles in places like Canada, we would have a model on which to expand (or transfer to other places). The institutions in India are far too deeply infiltrated and 'hinduvita-washed', to be reversed, sadly too much baggage. Also, the idea of Khalistan is of mindset too, and too few have the "Guru Maneyo Granth" mindset. Its a bit like the argument that people put against humans colonising other planets now...if we still have the same mindset (ego etc) we'll just end up doing to the new planets what we did to the Earth.
  22. At least they kept one thing 'real' and in line with tradition...skipping leg day at the gym ...lols
  23. When has the climate not changed? There are too many variables and cycles that influence it...from solar activity (big driver) to seismic activity (volcanoes if they go pop release billions of tonnes of matter into the upper atmosphere..just research the effect of krakatoa's eruption on global climate), to undersea releases of methane and other gases... One of the interesting ideas I read was that 'clean' fossil fuels are bad for the environment as they release co2 and other gases without the associated micro particles of soot (which absorb solar energy), so mitigate the greenhouse effect of those gases (i.e if you pump a greenhouse with co2 it will be warmer..but pump it with co2 and smoke then it won't be hot)...
  24. In quantum physics everything is based on probability. Nothing is impossible, if you have enough time (i.e. in quantum theory you could jump over your house, but it might take trillions of years and upteen attempts for it to happen once). If you move away from trying to 'materialise' the concept, then there are plenty of examples of 'time travel', Guru Gobind Singh Ji, spoke of his past lives, mahapurakhs who have talked of past and future, being the same (afterall the 'one' is timeless). Then you also have those who have used things like DMT who describe 1000s of years of history flashing before them in seconds, and the future likewise, but because taking those substances is temporary they forget much of it as soon as the drug wears off. DMT is produced by the pineal gland too, so when I hear of 'dmt trips' it sounds a lot like an experience of 'anand' but only a temporary one. Personally, to think that 'time' is linear seems a peculiar concept.
  25. What do you need for military power? Money. Now look at the chart below on national gdps .Russia makes it in at no 10. United States: $20.4 trillion. China: $14.0 trillion. Japan: $5.1 trillion. Germany: $4.2 trillion. United Kingdom: $2.9 trillion. France: $2.9 trillion. India: $2.8 trillion. Italy: $2.1 trillion. If you were India who would you align with? China or the 7 other countries on the list above?
