I am curious to know what time does Amrit Vela ends (i know it starts at 4) and does it matter if we pray towards the end of the amrit vela or does it really count if we do it at 4. I m confused coz its so stressed in gurbani!

Well veerji, there r 24 hours a day... n 8 parts. so it seems logical to work pout 24 divided by 8, to get 3!

I was told by a wise Baba tha amrit vela started at midnite through till miday, ie, 12am to 12pm but one shud do his Bani before sunrise anyway!

So Amrit-vela is while it is still dark in morning. (look outside -- usually street lamps are still on -- when street lamp goes off, then Amritvela = finishes )

If you miss waking up for Guru ji then advise is that do your Nitnem/Simran as usual and do ardaas that may Guru Ji help you wake up tomorrow at Amrit-vela.
