I guess people are just terrified by seeing a gun but we must understand that bad is not a gun but its misuse. Kirpan can be used to stab some inocent creature but that wouldn't make Kirpan a bad thing just the action. Those who buy guns are fully responsible for it and according to the law they must keep 'em in safes away from children. Police force carry guns but we don't get scared because they are there to protect and serve. Sikhi way of life is the same thing. Then why get scared upon seeing a Sikh with weapons? All armies of the world are armed. The khalsa is an army of waaheguru. A sikh is adorned with shabad guru and shashtars.

and as for the example of the muslis kids dressed up as suicide bombers, again look at what your comparing:

Mulsim struggle in palestine, they want complete destruction of the Jewish state and the destruction of jews in general. They blow themselves up in packed cafes and kill inocent people.

Sikhs fought so the cops wouldn't rape their mothers and sisters in front of their eyes or have cops urinate in their mouths and call it amrit!

There were hindus who took amrit and joined the fight becuase the events of that time were so cruel and humiliating for any human being to endure.

Again don't compare things which are completely different. Big difference between Islamic suicide bombers and sikhs.
