What a complete joker Vedanti has proven himself to be. He has ignored the issue of beadbi in the UK but as his nose has been put out of joint by a few Sikh youth who put a few questions to him, he is talking about taking action against them.

What a complete monomaniac this Vedanti has developed into. He said he was ready to meet with the youth and answer question (this was said with Guru Ji as witness) and then he ran like a coward with his circus troupe. The man does not have a leg to stand on as he lied in front of Guru Ji. Shame on Mr Vedanti, he is a complete disgrace to the Jathedari of the Akal Takht.

The Jathedar of Akal Takht and two other Sikh high priests from Takht Patna Sahib and Takht Kesgarh Sahib faced an unsavoury situation in a Sikh shrine in the USA when a youth posed ‘‘difficult’’ questions in the presence of Sikh Sangat. Jathedar Vedanti, who returned from the USA today said Akal Takht might initiate action against such youths.

Jathedar Vedanti admitted that he and two other jathedaras had visited certain gurdwaras which did not follow the ‘‘maryada’’ of Akal Takht. He, however, added that personal visits were the only way to salvage the situation. He admitted that he had visited gurdwara Nanaksar in Fresno during his visit to the USA and asked them to follow the maryada prescribed by Akal Takht and the SGPC.

A section of Sikh sangat in the USA rued that the jathedars of three takhts along with the SGPC secretary, and Darbar Sahib manager, had become part of a controversy when they visited institutions that did not follow the hukamnamas barring tables and chairs from langar halls.

Jathedar Vedanti, claimed that the organisers of the function had apologised to him for giving time to one Prabhsharndeep Singh who had openly criticised them and SGPC functionaries, thereby creating a ruckus in a function. However, Mr Dalmegh Singh, Secretary, SGPC and Mr Roop Singh, Manager, Darbar Sahib, came to the rescue of the jathedars.

Bhajneet Singh, Prabhsharandeep Singh, Amardeep Singh and others raised questions like why Baba Daljit Singh of Chicago had been let off so easily and had not been instructed to retake Amrit? Why hasn’t Jathedar Vedanti taken any action against Badal’s wife for visiting Ashutosh? Why are the jathedars attending 3HO functions, and addressing Yogi Bhajan Singh with the ‘‘Sri Singh Sahib’’ title?

I just want to know.. isn't its our guru hukam to obey and respect the authority of the Akal Takht ?? I am pretty much sure there was no kintu parantu for that? and today we are slagging off akal takht authority just like that ? hmmm...

i don't think this is an issue of disregard of akal takht authority. asking questions, even hard uncomfortable questions, is not an anti-panthic activity, and i cannot believe that vedanti has the gall to use such a scare tactic to quiet down opposition to his politics/practices. he's in a position of power and IS accountable for his policies/actions at all time and he should know better than to just try to side step the issues that these young people have tried to publicly engage him in. those in charge of the akal takht have a moral charge, and taking such a move as threatening to summon a bunch of young men who have asked you uncomfortable questions is undemocratic. let's get real!

Bhai Prabhsharandeep Singh Jee and the other Sikh youths are not undermining the authority of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib.

Singh Sahib Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Jee was forcefully and illegally removed by the SGPC from his position as Jathedar of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib, and that action was an underming of the authority of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib.

Bhai Joginder Singh Jee Vedanti's acceptance of his position is an underming of the authority of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib.

He should have refused the post, and made a public outcry to ban the SGPC people who kicked out Singh Sahib Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Jee, because that was anti-panthic and was not done with the permission of the Sarbat Khalsa.

However, Bhai Joginder Singh Jee Vedanti accepted the post, thereby showing through his actions that he respects the SGPC more than the Sarbat Khalsa.

So who is respecting and who is disrespecting?

When someone has proven himself corrupt and incompetant then he forfeits the right to respect.

No one is slagging off the Akal Takht BUT Vedanti is a different matter and hs bought this on himself.

When his relative cum assistant took a bribe to clear a child rapist he lost all right to respect. Vedanti still uses this relative as an assistant. When Vedanti summoned the Sarna brothers on the whim of badal he lost respect. When he pursues peronal vendettas he loses respect. When he lets thousands of petittions pile up in the Akal Takht secetariat he loses respect.

He has no respect for the Akal Takht or the glorious past that the Takht Jathedar.

He accepted the position from the SGPC and was booted out by them. He had a proven pedigree of being a Panthic sewadaar but he too became embroiled in petty politics and let Tohra off for visiting the naraqthari bhawan even though tohras chums admitted he had visited.

His brother was caught up in a scandal where a 84 delhi genocide victims wife was threatened to not appear in court. Ranjit Singh said he would give justice. We are still waiting.

Also Vedanti got the position after Giani Puran Singh was sacked for excommunicating Jagiro.

Another badal selection. He was head granthi at the Darbar Sahib and may indeed have been a granthi during 84.
