Sat Sri Akal:

In that case, the Guru Sahiban would never have been able to create the Sikh religion. You think all of our ancestors were with long Keshas???

Sant Jarnail Singh Sahib has a story quoted in the book by Cynthia Keppley Mehmood's "Fighting for Faith and Nation". In it is described how one Mona Sahib used to hang around with Sant Jarnail Singh. Sant Jarnail Singh used to have no problems with it...but he didn''t keep silent about it either...everyday he would prod "So, when are you going to be a brother (meaning Kesadhari)?" The Mona Sahib would reply "I try everyday". Sant Sahib replied "Stop trying and you will become a brother (aka. stop shaving)".

Sant Jarnail Singh Sahib's objective was to take Sikhs liek wubb.gif and turn them into  . But he had to start from wubb.gif .

Instead of arguing about something so ridiculous, lets read some short stories of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhinderwale!...

By the way, Bhai Jarnail Singh jee always cared very much of the community he lived in. Veer jee was right to state about the sangat we 'should' keep with because it always influence our lives even if we think it cannot change us. Guru ji says so, so no one argue with veer jee on that.

Secondly, we must remember that the only reason why we have been able to walk the path of Khalsa/ GurSikh or be born in a Sikh family is because of GurSikhs that have influenced and done sevaa for us in the past!!! So don't forget that when you meet someone, always treat them with respect as if they were your very own brother or sister and do sevaa for them if possible. You may benefit their life and have an effect of giving them the kirpaa through Guru ji of being born in a Sikh family.

There is great importance and value of this Sikh life. If we don't do what we are supposed to in this life correctly, who knows, vaheguru jee may put us back into the Churasee Lakh joon, 8.4 Million incarnations and then one day we maybe again be given the chance of a human life> BUT this time the conditions maybe much worse! We may end being born in a poor family, or no home, or non-SIkh parents....

So please do not take this life for granted. When we even take ONE day for granted, i.e. waste it, e.g. by not committing to reht, the clock can never be turned back and we may aswell assume that we are another day closer to death and the more the punishment. Its a different thing if we are

unaware of our duties.

One day, as it mentions in Gurbanee, we only repent when we are older, our body will grow weaker and we will not be in the state of youthfulness...

We need to breath Naam 24/7!

Rise at every Amrit Velaa

- DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE YOU GET UP!!!!

Stick to REHT as MUCH as possible....the strictness will increase in stages, the more naam you do the more guidance Guru jee bestows upon us.

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE EVEN ONE DAY - its very precious.

I remember what MKhalsa said once, what needs food the most, our body or Soul!!!

Only our soul departs...and we shall be judged upon our actions.

ONLY that GurSikh who obeys reht, shall not be judged - his records are ripped and he/she is welcomed in SaachKhand!!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

warrior princess bhanji you're right

& to the veerji who said this:

if sant ji did'nt set next to thousands of monaye dey would'nt have met waheguru throught khandye ki paul

that's true too.

Its easy to discriminate against people who have cut hair, but its important to realize that the basic principles of Sikhi teach us to see EVERYONE as being equal. We should be able to see God in ALL.

Instead of disrespecting "monahs" (i dont like that word), we should give them full respect and love - because a lot of these "monahs" who we disrespect today are going to change one day and turn into awesome Gursikhs.. and on that day, we'll be touchin their feet. Theyll be higher than us (or me at least). So, we should be caerful of how we treat others.

Like the quote above, if Sant Ji hadnt sat next to people with cut hair, then all of these people would not have taken amrit. So many rehat-abiding, proper, love filled Gursikhs of today used to have cut hair. So honestly, I dont think we should discriminate against ANYone, regardless of whether they're hindu, "monah" or whatever else.. hum naee changey, bura na koe..

Correct me if im wrong khalsa soulja but wasnt Bhai Rama Singh jee once a Hindu? AND a "monah?" If you had seen him as a "monah" knowing that one day he'd turn into such an amazing Gurmukh, would u have disrespected him then? I doubt it, veerji...He was so enlightened, so

imbued.. But even HE once had cut hair..

"Monahs" are brought into sikhi becuase of the love that they receive from Guru Jee and from sangat... If their sangat is constantly telling them that they're useless because they cut their hair, they wont properly grow as Sikhs at all. If these people are treated with love, which they deserve because they are human, (sheesh), then they will see the real beauty of Sikhi - and will be inspired by the fact that Sikhs see God in all.

SORRY to the mods if i went off topic

look, ur not understanding what i said.

if you question the part of the rehat that says dont socialise with monnah make another thread on it.

its funny when people say "OOOOH YOUR STOOPID, YOUR TALIBAN, YOUR FULL OF HATRED".....if im so stoopid why dont you just refute my points?

as far as i know the 5 groups thing is mentioned in bhatt saroop singhs guru kian sakhian, as well as in some rehatnamas. sardar kapur singh says exactly the same thing in parasaraprasna and he references it. if you would like to question yet another part of the rehat, then systematically refute my claims. if not, stop questioning the rehat and chup. baba ji in the photo knows better than us. so it doesnt matter. but that part of the rehat still stands - so dont knock it!

First of all veer ji.. he is not gursikh...
nope i havent taken amrit yet.
then second of all.. he calls ragmalla pornography
,

please tell me where i said that. i said that ragmalla exists in a book called kam kandlan which are pornographic tales written by akbars poet alam. dont misquote me, refute me if im wrong!

third of all if he is given ak 47... he will kill all the hindus or mona's.. that much hatred he has.. not good for 16 yr old...

where did u get that from? i think you ran out of points by number 2 and wanted to make a 3rd.....i have no hatred..........neither do i show contempt for monneh or bahmans, i just think they are silly and i generally minimise social contact with monneh.

instead of mindlessly arguing why dont you just intellectually argue out what ive said? im only 16, come on it cant be hard, you are wasting your time posting <admin-profanity filter activat

ed> every time.

Sat Sri Akal:

The only provision for boycotting contact with people is if 1) the Akal Thakat or Khalsa Assembly deems Sikhs form keeping in contact with them 2) the person is a Patit WHO TOOK AMRIT BUT BROKE THEIR VOWS TO THE GURU 3) If they are Masands, Minas, etc.

Where do monas fit into here?

Anyways, mad props to posted pic of the new Sikhs...most of us are born Sikhs...imagine how hard it is to leave your own religion for another...think of the dedication and the passion one must have to do that...for that reason, daas desires to be the carpet under these Singh's feet.
