Kirpan And Shaster Mala..

i was just wondering, is this a common practice with any particular group of Sikhs? because i have seen a Singh with a kirpan on a shashter mala as apposed to being on a gatra. i personally didnt think it was a big deal but my mate did!...

its a shashtar mala not a normal metal simran jaap mala.

it looks something like this.

ill try and get hold of one to show u guyz. its something like what is warn in a dumalla. is this acceptable as a substatute for the gatra?

it isnt being worn on the gatra, there is no gatra, the kirpan is joined to the mala. i repeate, NO GATRA.

its thefirst time i heard such a thing, but i havent 'heard' of anyone specifiying it should be gatra etc.................. i may be wrong
