You sure about that, I know lots of people who have had knives etc sent over from hong kong to UK without a problem. In fact Canadian customs seized similar knives but no problem with getting the items through Royal Mail in UK.

give me the rate of this shastar in indian rupees.

Those are bespoke kirpans made by Jot Singh. I doubt you will find them for sale in India unless someone has bought a few off Jot Singh. Use XE.com to get a $ to RS price, you will be looking at in excess of RS40,000 for shaster like that.

Gurfateh !

Rs 40,000 ????? If that was the case I would buy a few hundred !

- Jot Singh is a Master Craftsman of the Old School - with prices to match - That particular Kirpan is studded with gems

The price in Rupees would be around 5 million (around £65,000 pounds sterling)

Yes - 5 million rupees ( is that written as half a crore or 5 lacs or 50 lakhs I can never remember !)

I think the Kirpan donated to Anandpur Sahib by the American Sikhs in 1999, made by Jot Singh, was said to be around 1 crore Rupees (Rs 10 million - 150,00 pounds sterling)

Even the small gatra kirpans start at around Rs 200,000- if you want a matching Miaan even more

You'll need very deep pockets to buy from him !

If you're looking to spend less try this site - though still not cheap at around the Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000 mark (£ 65 to £320 pounds sterling) - But at least We're not looking at "mortgaging the house" type prices !!

Spaminder Singh Bhai Sahib you wrote "no problem with getting the items through Royal Mail in UK" - you have to be careful now as the laws have changed - small knives are OK but as I have found to my cost, most large curved blades are being confiscated by Customs - because of the 'Samurai sword' legislation. It is nearly impossible to get a large kirpan into England.

I did write in excess of RS40K. Last time I looked the cheapest was not far off $1000 which equates to about RS40K. So anthing better than that will obviously cost in excess of RS40K.

Just checked the site and there is a new mass market version for $250 which is roughly RS20,000. This mass market one looks no better than the Victorinox produced kirpan which was a lot cheaper and better looking (although the case for that was poor).
