India tests longest-range missile

India's Agni missiles increase military reach

India has test-fired its longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile nine months after its first launch failed.

The Agni-III surface-to-surface missile was test-fired off the coast of Orissa state in eastern India, defence officials said.

Reports say it could hit targets as far off as Beijing and Shanghai.

The Agni-III is India's most sophisticated long-range missile. Analysts say it has a range of more than 3,000km (1,865 miles).

An attempt to test the missile in July last year failed after it developed a snag during the flight and came crashing down into the Bay of Bengal.

The missile was re-configured for the second launch.

It is not yet known whether the test has been successful.

India has been engaged in peace moves with Pakistan since 2004 and relations with China have warmed significantly in recent years

That rule only applies to the 2% of Sikhs in India, not the 90% of Hindus.

Ahinsa is the way forward for Sikhs (who were born from the khanda), but Hinsa is the way forward for Hindus (whose prophet seems to be Gandhi).

mahaaaan bharat which was made free by violence....is now resorting back to gaining and developing weapons!!!! sikhs are terrorists if they arm themselves but hindustan is a peacful democracy if it develops nuclear weapons....even if iran is also a terrorist nation for doing the same thing.

China in 2003 declared in nuclear doctrine that in case of threat from india it can and have right to pre emtivenuclear strikes and excluding india from no first use india and taiwan r the nations whom china pleadged to attack nuclearly india was included after 98 nuclear tests by india it has also has doctrine to destroy indian missiles if it threaten china india is kicking dragon at its own cost when it could not beat pakistan as happened in kargil

Sure they can shoot missiles further now but what about their missile defense? It's not up to par.....
