whats the 'plan of action' now then? cos people batantly dont agree with the akal takhts commands - ppl are still marching n that - whats the deal?

Naam Simran! the best deal u can ever get, let the people who do beadbi do it, they will be taught a lesson in the court of 'Dharam Rai' or you can resort to violance, which wont help, it only will if everyone is armed and are full of Naam and Shakti!

Ok let me ask you a question! Shall me and You go to punjab, fully armed and battle them? Or you would u like to sit safe behind the computer and do Naam Simran, your choice. I told many a times to my dad, he said sit back and let it be, they will be punished, we dont have the power like the singhs back in the day, I for one am Manmukh and I dont even touch the dust near their feet, if you have that shakti you got all my blessings, go and fight!

This goes for anyone on the forum, if you thiks its right to go and fight, well do it, I admit I dont have the power or shakti or the skills to tackle this, all I can do is Ardas and Naam Simran. Hey Guru, I am sorry I have failed I cannot battle without strength.

i dont think all peaceful means have failed....if Jathedars have given 10 days for govt to do something i think we should all wait until then....if that fails then id say all peacful means have failed!

we all need to undestand the jathdars jus cant say lets go and kill this guy, they have to do it the diplomatic way first!

News channels are implying (not saying openly) that this situation has opened the door for extremist organisations like Dal Khalsa.

They are also saying that since the Akal Takht has issued guideline, the lakh or so people gathered at Talwandi are not going back home but are confused in absence of any real guidance/leadership.

Many of them want to march to Sirsa but there are no clear leaders to lead them.

i think waiting ten days is right (why they chose ten i'll never know). You're right in saying that the jathedars have to be careful (and they DO) because you lot arent thinking politically- if they dont give an ultimatum then people we see sikhism as an intolerant and violent religion when it isnt. At least if the government dont react we have a righteous reason to take up arms. You have to think about the repercussions of an order to react violently. Plus lets not forget the fact that vedanti n his cronies really couldnt care less about these dera's.

with other news however (i dunno if this was before or after the takhts decision...

Bathinda May 17:

A day before the Talwandi Sabo congregation, Takht Damdama Sahib chief Balwant Singh Nandgarh today asked Sikhs to get ready for sacrifices.

“Time has come to follow the footsteps of Sikh Gurus and sacrifice our lives to maintain the dignity of the religion,” Nandgarh said, while addressing a gathering inside Hazi Rattan Gurdwara premises. Among others who were present on the occasion included Damdami Taksal chief Harnam Singh Dhumma, Jasbir Singh Rode, Baljit Singh Daduwal and some other representatives of the Sant Samaj. “I will be the first to sacrifice my life for religion,” said Nandgarh.

“If dera chief was not arrested, things will be worse than they were in 1978. Consequences will be alarming,” Dhumma said. He hit out at Bathinda administration for “failing” to control the situation. All who spoke on the occasion urged Sikhs to wait for the outcome of Talwandi Sabo congregation and act accordingly.

Personally I think nihang akali Baba Nihang Singh Ji harianvela walay should give guidance, its the top spritual leader I can see at this time. We should ask him should we resort to violence or shall we do diplomacy and finally the best guidance we can get its from Sri Guru Granth Sahib in form of Hukanama, see what it says and take blessing and then move forward.

Bhul CHuk Maaf if I have take Sant jis name in vain and put him in the picture.

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
