I believe the DSS Baba WON'T say he was wrong and apologize b/c his followers see him as a "Guru", meaning they believe that he can never be WRONG.

If he does apologize, he will loose all of followers, he will lose his credibility and his followers will realize that he is not a “Guru” but a phony.

From the political perspective the Akali Dal Badal wants him to lose his credibility so the Congress loses it “voting bank.” The Congress is bad mouthing Badal and his party in order to show the rest of India that Badal is trying to create communal violence (saying that he is allowing the Sikhs to attack the Dera).

Sikhs want him to lose his credibility (come to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and apologize) but ultimately most Sikhs want to put a bullet in the Fake Baba’s head and end his reign.

Just like Jathedar Iqbal Singh Ji (Takht Patna Sahib) said at the Sarbat Khalsa "we will finish him off and all of the other people pretending to be Gurus, we will turn our attention to you next." (this ain't a direct quote but a summary)

I agree, it is the failure of khalsa panthic organistations in doing parchaar to the people that has led many to fall into the traps of these dera's and pakandi baba's who live a life of up most luxary and sexually abuse many women in their congregation.

It is better to do parchar to bring back the lost souls who follow these dera nutters than bring war on to their blind congregation.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ ॥

Guru Piario Sadh Sangat Ji,

My Bhena and Veer Jis are absolutely right. Nothing but a public apology will suffice from this Choota Dera Sauda and their 'Baba'. This is also mentioned in this Punjabi news report from yesterday (May 18) by Shri Akal Takht's Jathedar. Link - http://panthkijeet.blogspot.com/2007/05/bu...ab-part-vi.html

Even a public apology will not work now he has let it go too far,Indira K*thi, came to Harmandir Sahib affter Bluestar but she was never pardoned and neither will he be,as he will not appear in front of Akal Thakt,he will use the Hindu Propoganda News Teams,to his advantage, who report he has apologised,or Panjab is back to normal,so people give up the agitation, but with the shooting dead of a 14 yrold and his father, they've made things worse for themselves. The guys who shot them will be free soon, maybe with a new ID name and place to live.Don't believe even a word of what Indian Media tells you.Ram Gurmit will get whats comming to him.

Sikhs demand withdrawal of cases

20 May, 2007 l 0303 hrs ISTlTIMES NEWS NETWORK

PANIPAT: Lashing out at the state government for victimising Sikhs by registering cases against them on flimsy grounds during protests in Haryana, Sikh originations including Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandak Committee (SGPC) and HSGPC, has called a joint meeting on May 25 to discuss the situation, if the cases against Sikhs youths, who protesting in Pundri on Friday, were not withdrawn.

Kaithal police had slapped serious charges of attempt to murder under section 307 along with other sections of IPC against 12 youths who were protesting against Dera Sacha Sauda after burning the effigy of its head in Pundri on Friday. SP Navdeep Singh Virk told TOI on Saturday that they have been booked for attacking policemen though no one had lodged any formal complaint in this regard. The youths were part of the crowd, which was reportedly moving towards a Dera in the town.

The SGPC and HSGPC has condemned the action taken by Kaithal police and said that registration of cases under section 307 IPC was totally unwarranted. SGPC vice-president Raghujit Singh Virk, who led the delegation which called on the SP in Kaithal on Saturday, said the police chief expressed helplessness in withdrawing the cases during the meeting.

The state government was trying to add fuel to an ebbing fire by levelling serious charges against the protesters, which could backfire, the SGPC leader said. The police had also beaten up the youths in custody, he said.

Terming the charges against protesters as bid to intimidate the Sikhs. President of HSGPC, Jagdish Singh Jhinda warned the state government of serious consequences. Addressing a press conference in Panipat, he said when when the anger was subsiding, Kaithal police’s action was uncalled for and appeared politically motivated. He would meet the SP on Sunday to request withdrawal of cases and even talked to chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to press his demand, Jhinda said.

We have heard unconfirmed reports of at least one more Singh attaining shaheedi after dying in the hospital from his injuries.

Dera followers in Nazpura village of Bathinda district attacked a Granthi’s home and tried to set Guru Granth Sahib Jee on fire. The fire was controlled after the Granthi raised the alert on the loudspeaker. No damage was done to Guru Granth Sahib’s Saroop.

More updates to come. Please look for the next issue of Panthic Weekly for more details.

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
    • There was a young Singh from abroad who went to Anandpur Sahib Hola and got into a fight with some Punjabis who were playing loud non-religious music. He had bana and a weapon or two. There were more of them than him.  He ended up losing his life. Don't be like that. Not worth it to fight manmukhs. @californiasardar1 ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ॥੧੯॥ Argue not with a fool. p473
