Is that possible with a dharaa and dastaar??

Also, if Singhs practicing other martial arts could give their tips on managing dastaar and beard in a non-sikh setting, would be appreciated.

You will always have an issue with your dastar and dhara when you practise martial arts who dont consider them. The Guru wudnt have blessed the Khalsa with such a roop if it would be detremental to them in a jang. But when Sikhs start to practise arts which are not part of the Gurus maryada then obviously you will have a problem.

There are ways to protect your dastar and dhara in a fight, but that cannot be taught over the net

i have seen a baba who had knowledge of various points on our body thats what he said ... i even got tried on me ... he pressed his two fingers in my elbow some where ... it was locked till its stand still no pain in there if i try to move my elbow it pained like its injected with big nail ... he told me that he can kill me just with his finger in my naval .... dammmmm .... though its very hard to master as u need to press exact point in the very first point ... and cant be used in battle field ... but one on one in street fight !!!! thats most impressive thing i have seen ... anyone know more about it !!!!

What he is claiming to have is Marma Vidiya, knowledge of the 108 pressure points of the body. I dont know how accurate the killing with the finger in the navel is, its the first time ive heard of it. Knowledge of marmas is fine, you can have all the charts in the world, but if you dont know how to get into the position to open up various points, how deep each marma is, and how to combine them with other marmas to control your opponent it isnt worth very much. Maybe you could supply the name and location of this singh so we could visit him and see how much of the marma vidiya he has.

nah nah he is budhist with that small nose actualy i meet him in 2004 in Sikkim the eastern part on india we go on holiday once in two years ... the district was called some what like gangtok ... i still got his address may be i can find u that !!!! in same way last year in september 2006 we went to kerla the south most part of india ... they also practice same thing in some hik oki aaa some thing like that its name of this practice ... but the main difference in south and eastern part is east they used only fingers but in south they also use thumb and finger like they pinch and some times press .... i have also recorded their video of martial arts with shasters ... they are good but they use long vaars stretching their body u can see sword coming from far back .... hopefully i will find video ...
