RASAAVAL STANZA

Many gongs resound and hearing their sound, the clouds feel ashamed.

Such a sound is produced that it appears like the sound of the surging waves of the sea.20.

The small bells of the feet jingle, and the anklets rattle.

Such sounds are peaceful sounds against the great resounding (of gongs).21

The rosary of heads glorified his neck, seeing which the god Shiva feels abashed.

Such a beautiful image appears magnificent and it is greatly holy.22.

He produces the very loud roar, hearing which the messengers (of Yama) tremble.

The blood oozes (from his rosary of skulls glorifying his neck and it is fascinating his great honour.23.

That verse does not mention a disgusting looking woman called KAALEE. It says beautiful. Why are you so quick to jump to Hindu Mat conclusions. If you read all of Sri Dasam Granth you will see the true meaning.

It isn't a "he" it's a she. Namely, Mata Kali. It's describing the glory of Kali. Like Pheena posted above.

Among the manifestations of Devi most favoured for worship by Shaktas are Kali, Durga, and Parvati. Durga is an epithet of Mahadevi, or "Great Goddess," who is celebrated in the Devi Mahatmya. Kali is the goddess of destruction and transformation, as well as the devourer of time, as her name implies (kala means "time," and also means "black"). Parvati is the gentle wife of Shiva, one of the most popular gods of modern Hinduism, and is strongly associated with Kali and other goddesses.

these "goddesses" are 7 forms of one shakti. Durga is not the original name of Shakti. She only recieved this name after killing Durgam-asur. likewise she recieved the name chandi, after the killing of chandika-asur. whatever demons she killed, she received their names in short form, from her bhagats , or whoever she saved from tyhe demons, usually the gods such as Indar Dev etc, or the rishes who the dmons plagued.

the forms of shatki are

Chandi/durga

Kali

Parvati

Gauran

Sati

Brahmacharini

Skander Mata

i think....
