I think the River Indus is the border line of punjab on west and north part.. Punjab use to be really BIG.. all Himalaya mountains, desert like area of haryana and the whole fertile land of Pakistan and today's punjab used to belong to Khalsa Sarkar until british finished its raj in 1947.

though it would be incredibly hard to bring Punjab to its former glory

but with Chardi Kala, anything can happen

From my understanding of the consitution of khalistan....Khalistan will be present day Punjab, and later on when the old Punjab is put back together Khalistan will be a state within Punjab
