Images Of Shiva

Gyani Sant Singh Jee Maskeen explained Shivji's appearance amazingly in one of his kathas. He says its hard to verbally spread the message of truth to everyone, so Shivji smeared ashes all over his body, and wore a snake in his neck, which was a message that o people of the world, you are going to be ashes ultimately, as kaal (death) is a noose around your neck 24/7. Thus his mere appearance would pass the message. And yes he is also called neel kanth, i.e. blue throat, because he drank the poison to save the entire world, thats according to Hindu mythology.

i listenend that too many days ago

Why does shiva have a snake around his neck?

Good question i remember asking this question sant jagjit singh ji harkhowalae, they stated that the forms we see of the dieties are in fact metaphorical.

The Ganga from the head of Shiva represents the amrit flowing through the body of the devotee of God, the third eye to represent the dasam dawar once one has become one with the lord and the snake around the neck is so that the devotee is aware that this snake could bite at any time and kill the being. For this reason a person should never forget God as death can occur at any time.

SARPANCH, WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO BADMOUTH HINDU'S EVERY CHANCE YOU GET? DO YOU NOT HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THEN RUIN A THREAD WITH YOUR ANTI-HINDU COMMENTS? IF YOU HAVE NOTHING POSITIVE TO SAY THEN DON'T SAY IT AT ALL. YOU BRING SO MUCH NEGATIVITY TO MANY THREADS THAT YOU POST IN. YOUR CONTINUED RACIST AND HATRED REMARKS WILL NOT GET YOU FAR IN LIFE, OR SIKHI.

Truth about Krishna

In Bhagvat Purana chapter 10, section 22 says that once Krishna saw women taking bath in the river. So he went there and stole their clothes and made them come outside naked to get their clothes. When they did he forced them to mate with him. What kind of God would do that? Is this the kind of love God gives to his children? In the same chapter section 60 says that Krishna had 16,108 wives and Radha was not one of them. Each wife gave birth to 10 sons and one daughter means that Krishna had 161,080 sons and 16,108 daughters. So all together he had 177188 children. This shows how lustful Krishna was. And god is not lustful.

Those girls were Krishna's wife Lakshmi incarnated in human form. What he did was no different then a husband and wife engaging in erotic or sexual activities together.
